Coppins tricked Trump's advisers into thinking he would profile Trump as a potential "major" GOP 2016 presidential hopeful. As Breitbart News reported, the Jan. 5 email from Coppins to now former-Trump aide Sam Nunberg read:
“I've already done big profiles of all the major 2016 GOP players, including substantial sit-down interviews with Rand Paul and Scott Walker, and features on Ryan, Rubio, Cruz, etc,” Coppins told Nunberg, adding that choosing BuzzFeed for the profile would “show that he's ahead of the curve and understands the new media landscape.”
His access secure, Coppins attended Trump's speech at New Hampshire's famed "Politics and Eggs" breakfast, which has hosted nearly every major presidential candidate. The resulting piece, "36 Hours on the Fake Campaign Trail with Donald Trump," was one of the most venomous hit pieces in recent memory. Coppins trashed Trump as a joke, with all the preconceived notions, snark, backhanded compliments, innuendo, and mockery that those like MSNBC's Chuck Todd, a notorious Trump hater, and Coppins' editor, Ben Smith, have been throwing around for years.

I read the Trump piece...I’m not sure I see how relating how events unfolded and sharing what people say can be construed as a hit piece.
But then, I think Trump is a buffoon, a liar, a megalomaniac, a cheat and has zero interest in anyone but himself and perhaps his children.
I wish he would just quit pretending to be interested in any political office...of any kind...in any place.
And I wish people would just ignore the orange jerk. Now...I normally don’t like to pick on what someone looks like...but in Trump’s case...his skin color (orange) and his hair color (also orange) are not something he was born with. He voluntarily does the orange thing to himself. It really does indicate that Trump has no one who tells him the truth...NO ONE seems to dare tell him the truth.
I read the Trump piece, and it wasn’t all that bad. Yes, it paints him as a narcissistic, self-aggrandizing fake “politician,” and suggests that he is stringing us along and will never actually run for office, but who didn’t know any of that already?

Sarah, while you may be right about your advice to Trump, my advice to you would be to stay away from Trump. He is nothing but a loud-mouthed opportunist.
Because he has LOTS of money that someday, may come in handy for her.
