A new study broadens a notion held by the earliest criminologists: Periods of higher temperatures -- on an hour-by-hour or week-to-week basis -- are likely to produce more crime.
The study by Matthew Ranson of Abt Associates, a research and consulting firm in Cambridge, Mass., suggests global warming will trigger more crimes including murders and rapes over the next century, with social costs estimated to run as high as $115 billion.
Between 2010 and 2099, climate change can be expected to cause an additional 22,000 murders, 180,000 cases of rape, 1.2 million aggravated assaults, 2.3 million simple assaults, 260,000 robberies, 1.3 million burglaries, 2.2 million cases of larceny and 580,000 cases of vehicle theft, the study published this week in the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management says.

Hotter temps always result in more crime, since the people are outside instead of being huddled up in their houses when it’s cold.
It’s the normal temp changes associated with climate change and has nothing to do regarding anthropogenic global warming.

Its a proven fact that warmer temperatures bring out the street rats in Chicago so they can start killing each other at higher rates. The “criminologists” theory seems to be pretty close to accurate.
I have a theory that “Clobal Warming” brings more crime, because use of fear tactics for control by Marxists are a sign we are governed by Marxists, and a symptom of Marxism is always higher crime rate. Another symptom of Marxism is gun control. Look for “studies” to report that guns produce Carbon Footprints. haha

Actually any cop or firefighter will tell you there is more crime when it is hot. Hubby used to joke that they would be up all night after watching all the trucks that went by with a bed full of Beer in the hot hot summer.
It was a result of partying outside and drinking not the weather itself.

Efficacy doesn't matter so long as your heart has good intentions. In the liberal mind, conservatives need to be punished via the tax code while they pocket corrupt, six-figure salaries to do almost nothing. To assuage their own consciences, handouts need to be given to the heart-in-the-right-place, liberal supporters. Your out-dated notions of merit will be drummed out of the future Communist society, just as merit long ago took a back seat to equal rights, affirmative action, and favors to the gay right mafia. Merit no longer gets the most derserving person the top administrator job.
