The Muslims of the Central African Republic Face a Deadly Purge
Time Magazine ^ | Feb. 20, 2014 | Andrew Katz

Posted on 02/20/2014 6:20:19 AM PST by PapaBear3625

The anti-balaka have outgrown their name. These militias in the Central African Republic, once united under a moniker meaning “anti-machete” in the local Sango language, are exacting their own vicious revenge upon the mainly Muslim rebels who overthrew the government last March and waged months of terror against the Christian population. They are now accused of atrocities far worse than what first prompted them to take up arms.

An Amnesty International report on Feb. 12 said attacks on Muslims in January by anti-balaka militias, made up of Christians and animists, had amounted to “ethnic cleansing.” Fatou Bensouda, chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court at The Hague, has already opened a preliminary investigation into crimes against humanity, saying some “victims appeared to have been deliberately targeted on religious grounds.” A top U.N. official issued similar warnings during a recent visit to the ravaged capital, Bangui, telling reporters: “There is an ethnic-religious cleansing taking place. It must be stopped.”

The head-chopping-happy moozlums are portrayed as “peaceful”. They are getting what they deserve for their long history of aggressively murdering others. They deserve to be dead in peace.

Who pays the piper calls the tune. Amnesty International and the UN aren’t about human rights. They’re all about anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism and statism. In ecological terms they’re watermelons.

Yes, the Mohammedans peacefully lop-off heads and peacefully burn villages...in the name of peace. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

The head-chopping-happy moozlums are portrayed as “peaceful”.

They ARE peaceful. Islam says peace will happen when there is absence of opposition to Islam. The jihadis are all energetically pursuing peace.

Wow. You consider those protesting in Kiev to be only “violent thugs who don’t seem to care about the rule of law or the civilization they’re destroying.”

I’ve seen no evidence of this, only of extreme government repression and some degree of protestor retaliation.

I guess the same applies to those at Tienanmen Square. Anybody who protests against tyrannical governments must be crushed to protect civilization.

This POV would have brought a screeching halt to the American Revolution, you known. OTOH, for the initially similar French Revolution this POV was exactly right.

"Atrocities against Christians by Muslims are ignored. Christians counter-attacking against Muslims get wide coverage and condemnation, and calls for international intervention."

Kind of makes you wonder who the major funders of Amnesty International are and if that just might effect their reports. The media always severs mammon.

Ukraine's in a tough place. If they end up with the EU, Germany ends up with their banking interests controlling the people and the resources, just like Portugal and Greece.

These are not peaceful protestors we're seeing, burning down an historic city and using a truce as a way to extend the violence.

Didn't a majority vote for the government they have?

Not from reports. There was probable vote fraud and now illegal power grabbing by the President. Sorta on the same lines as what we have here.

I agree Ukraine is in a tough place.

I suspect from the perspective of the protesters, being gobbled up yet again by the Russian bear is a lot more problematic than enduring the soft embrace of Euro banksters.

Europeans, after all, have never killed many millions of Ukrainians. Russians have, within the last century.

Enemy of my enemy and all that.

When Time writes even one story about the Christian genocide in the Middle East, I will begin to care.

UN Analysis:
Muslim atrocities = good.
Christian pushback = bad.

Amnesty International is a fraud. They are the first the criticise Israel but are silent over stonings in Saudi Arabia.

The Crusades were a mixed bag, but they were indeed a defensive war.

“ethnic cleansing” Um, no. Self defense.

Islam is a religion unless its really a criminal enterprise.

Now that the CAR Christians are showing their teeth no one is going to bother their oil fields——they just have to dig in and continue to defend themselves.

The best way to end this is to ensure that the ‘anti-balaka’ group is well and properly armed. Sooner or later, the hostilities will diminish.
