Obama’s War on America: Killing Coal to Kill U.S. Electrical Power

If the White House and the EPA is permitted to implement the MATS regulation the economy will dramatically decline. Life in America will resemble that of third world nations. It is entirely based on lies

Ironic that the EPA is shutting down coal fired generating plants in part because of concerns about mercury emissions, yet Congress has declared we must fill our homes with mercury hazard CFL light bulbs. How much mercury will be added to the environment by the breaking of millions of these bulbs and improperly disposing them into landfills?

“Shut down the EPA. It has been a political activist branch of the liberals ever since it was created, “

Have you ever dealt with the EPA? I have, since it’s inception. You think they’re ALL tree-hugging lefties?

You are exactly right in your assessment!

No, all the previous rises and falls were natural due to warming and cooling that was mostly solar in origin. For example see:

where a temperature rise from -80 to -60 (F) causes a CO2 rise from 200 to 300. In the past 200 or so years we have seen a temperature rise of maybe 2F. That would cause a CO2 rise of maybe 20ppm. A better estimate from solubility equations is 10ppm. That much of the rise we have seen is natural and the rest is manmade.

CO2 records go back far farther than just the ice core samples. Amber and the like show far greater CO2 concentrations from far longer ago.

Throughout the Phanerozoic (the last 570 million years), atmospheric CO2 varied within wide range depending mainly on volcanic activity. During individual periods, atmospheric CO2 was 10 to 15 times above the value that was typical for the pre-industrial epoch (approximately before 1850). At the present time, due to the burning of fossil fuel (gas, oil, coal, and other kinds of carbon fuel) a part of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases buried in the Earth’s crust in the course of geological history are returned back into the atmosphere.

- - - - -

The living nature effects of carbon dioxide concentration variations occurred along with the influence of oxygen. Variations in CO2 content in the Phanerozoic primarily changed photosynthetic productivity. In the history of Phanerozoic atmosphere, an event of great importance was the movement of life (as land vegetation) to land in the Devonian time.

This event led to an 800-fold increase in the Earth’s biomass. This change had to exert a pronounced effect on the course of geochemical processes in the Earth’s biosphere and cause certain modifications in atmosphere composition. With an average CO2 concentration for the entire Phanerozoic of 0.10 to 0.15%, there are at least six maxima in CO2 concentration exceeding this average value. In this case, during the Phanerozoic an average CO2 concentration turned out to be very close to its optimum to start photosynthesis.

Carbon dioxide maxima are recorded in the Early Ordovician, and in the Devonian and Early Carboniferous. In the Carboniferous, atmospheric CO2 concentration reached its maximum for the entire Phanerozoic. The third maximum occurred in the Early Permian, the fourth in the Middle Triassic, the fifth in the Late Jurassic, and the sixth in the Late Cretaceous. The fifth and sixth maxima represent a portion of a prolonged period with high CO2 concentration embracing the greater part of the Jurassic and almost the entire Cretaceous.

That is all good stuff and there is general agreement that CO2 values in the 200’s or less represents CO2-starvation with loss of plants that require higher concentrations to withstand other stresses (e.g. drought) and the rise of more efficient grasses which can dominate in CO2-starved environments. I don’t have any doubt that more CO2 in the atmosphere is a net benefit to both man and nature. I do take issue with the implication that sudden mysterious volcanic activity bounced the atmosphere to 400, a value not seen in millions of years. That is contrary to all the scientific evidence.

Ya. Total BS. You can't find a mercury thermometer anywhere anymore.

Whenever I get into an argument with loons who think CFLs are cool, I point them to the EPA website. Shuts them up.

This green agenda BS being pushed by Bam and the progs will have you in the dark at least part of the time. Those smart meters are for a reason. My guess is eventually you will be allotted so many KWs per month. When they are used up your power is turned off til the first of the month rolls around.

Be thinking about an alternative energy system.

"The Ruling Elite: a Study in Imperialism, Genocide and Emancipation" by Deanna Spingola has concrete evidence that what we are witnessing today has been the deliberate power plan for millenia.

It's a heavy read of facts that has reeled the world of this history buff. It will rock yours.

Everything is opposite what we were taught in schools and libraries. Anyone who reads should read this.

Why doesn’t the GOP capitalize on this and turn “coal country” into votes?

Why doesn’t the GOP capitalize on this and turn “coal country” into votes?

That would mean they might actually win.

That would mean they might actually have to lead.

That would mean they would have to get thier faces out of the pig troughs and stop stuffing their own pockets.
