Showdown in Caracas

In a move that almost guarantees violent clashes, Venezuelas increasingly nervous Marxist caudillo is calling for his supporters to take to the streets Tuesday to combat a large planned march by that oil-rich nations opposition.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is asking his allies, including state employees, to demonstrate in force against Leopoldo Lopez, leader of the opposition party, Popular Will (Voluntad Popular). Lopez, who has been accused by Maduro of inciting violence, asked Venezuelans to dress in white and march alongside him, daring authorities to arrest him.
Opposition Governor Henrique Capriles, who was beaten by Maduro in the dubious April election, said the government was instigating the unrest to hide the grave problems that the country is facing with the scarcity of food, medicine, the inflation, devaluation and insecurity.
Can’t JF’nK give Venezuela all of his wife’s money to save the day?
When will Hussein issue a statement calling for Maduro to stand down his riot cops?
Here’s the money quote, “Maduro can count on community organizers to come to his aid.”
I seriously doubt it's a joint account - and his signature on a check would be no better than mine.
Hugo (the grate) Chavez could pull off the Bamboozle in Venezuela. The Big Stump Mustache has run his course on the post glow of Chavista to its end shelf life. His iron fist will be tin foil soon enough...
Ge said, “be nice” with a lisp(in not so many words), and the media explained that President Obama has sent a WARNING to Venezuela. not kidding. hahaha
Venezuelans weren’t really bamboozled. Big business, media, and politicians were paid off. Once Chavez was installed there was massive voter fraud. The corrupted took their money and left. The “Maduro supporters’ are union thugs with guns, who will loose their oil jobs and pensions if they don’t show up. It is all a big farce. Just like America.
All my contacts there (graduated from HS in Caracas) have been saying for almost a week that the thugs are out in force, Maduro has requested and received Cuban military assistance (flew into La Carlota Airport, right in the middle of town). Maybe they’ll finally get the “watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants” quote - I hope so, it’s a beautiful country.
Looks like Venezuela is on the verge of a civil war just like the Ukraine right now.
