NBC: Married with Child 'Alternative Lifestyle'
Fox News Nation ^ | February 20, 2014 | John Nolte, Breitbart

A revealing reminder of the provincial, bubbled leftists that run our media can be found in an NBC News piece profiling Olympic gold medal skier David Wise. NBC informs us in its headline that what led Wise to Olympic gold was his "alternative lifestyle."

NBC was apparently surprised to learn that, at 23-years-old, Wise is already a husband and father.

At such a young age, Wise has the lifestyle of an adult. He wears a Baby Bjorn baby carrier around the house. He also attends church regularly and says he could see himself becoming a pastor a little later down the road....

If I remember this article when it originally published, alongside alternative, they said "mature".

That says it all, to me. Mature is alternative. Meaning normal and everyday is immature.

I read it as a positive comment.

He was part of ‘Organizing for America’s’ Obamacare ads. The caption read: Wear pajamas. Drink hot chocolate. Talk about getting health insurance. # Get talking. Barackobama.com/talk. Released mid-December. Obviously lives in his parents basement. What an embarrassment to all male millennials.

That’s why Jesus is here, to cure the disease of sin in each person’s individual life, He did (and continues to do so in my life), and will in others if we let that light shine..

New form of old joke:

Women. Can't live with 'em. Can live without 'em.

If this madness keeps up much longer, these weird “Old Normal” families will be envied... and maybe we will come full circle. In an optimistic view.

And also to show what the wholeness (holiness) IS against which sin is seen as sin. Without that, nobody can pin point sin. Sin is just what you don’t like in your neighbor regardless of how it looks to God.

What an embarrassment to all male millennials.

Ahh…

Thanks.

Your right; millennials (females included. It makes out the men of their generation to be infantile) should be offended by that ad.

Talk about a tone deaf advertisement!

Olympian David Wise is the cousin of Mike Wise [Wa Po sports columnist].

Mike has written a number of articles lately about his cousin, the Olympian. While portraying him as a nice kid, Mike stated that David was just a floundering ski-cross half-pipe athlete UNTIL he got married and had a child.

Once his domestic situation changed, David realized that he probably would have to settle down and get a “regular” job. But, he wanted to give the sport one last chance - and he dedicated himself. The result was that he has won the last 3 X-Games ...

And, as of Tuesday, he is the FIRST gold medalist in his sport in Olympic history ...

So much for the “Alternative Lifestyle” ...

Looking at history, the median age at first marriage for guys was 22.8 in 1950, and 23.2 in 1970. It's only been in the last couple of decades that marriage age has been climbing steadily.

For women, from 1890 thru 1980, being married by 22 was the NORM.

Not what it seems. The first version of the story misspelled his wife’s name as “Alexander”, which is what gave rise to the “alternative lifestyle” euphemism. A later story corrected the misspelling but not the narrative.

Still think it’s too young. Nothing wrong with more mature marriage.

Better to be truly mature and shopping around before you buy. That is, if we would teach children to aspire to maturity rather than stuck in childISHness. I’m sick of old hippies acting like immature childish fools, and so on.
