Pop star Madonna weighed in on events in Venezuela and Ukraine Thursday, launching an attack against President Maduro via Instagram. Beside a picture of Maduro, Madonna wrote:

There is almost no attention to what is happening in Venezuela, it is almost as bad as Ukraine except only one side has weapons.
San Cristobol had their power, water and internet turned off. Fighter jets filled the sky. Motorcycle collectivos and other thugs broke down doors and shot people who were protesting.
The government is at war with its own unarmed people
Both Madonna and Chavez were strong supporters for his relief organization in Haiti and I think that is the bottom line for him.
