SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office is expected to consider Thursday afternoon whether to file charges against a lawyer with the city police department.

James Wesley Robinson, 50, was arrested Wednesday at his Salt Lake home in the Wasatch Hollow neighborhood for investigation of drug possession, drug distribution and illegal possession of firearms. Robinson's two sons, Alexander Jordan Robinson, 21, and Zachary Ryan Robinson, 18, were also arrested.

Alexander Robinson remained in the Salt Lake County Jail Thursday along with his father. He was booked for investigation of drug distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia. Drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash was found in his bedroom, according to a Salt Lake County Jail report.

Police also found drug paraphernalia in Zach Robinson's room and he was in possession of marijuana when he was arrested, the report states.

One of Robinson's sons was pulled over while speeding through the city on Wednesday, according to a source familiar with the incident. The son allegedly told an officer that his house had been burglarized and he was chasing the suspects. But the occupants of the other vehicle said that wasn't the case and tipped police about drugs in the home, according to the source. A Salt Lake police spokeswoman said she could not confirm that information Thursday.

Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and went to Robinson's home, 1955 E. Bryan Ave. While there, they saw enough evidence to seek a search warrant for the house.

Police reported finding a small amount of cocaine in James Robinson's bedroom, and a large amount of marijuana in his house in addition to marijuana pipes, water bongs, scales, a large amount of cash and four firearms. Officers wrote in the report that "several pounds" of marijuana were found...

A white lawyer and his kids selling and doing drugs in Mormon Central.

Seems like it would be a bad marketplace.

Obviously not our Jim Robinson.

Well Jim does live in California and any gun he owns, if it is not illegal now, it will be before the legislature goes home for the summer.

Well part of it was water bongs, which usually means marijuana. One of the more peaceful ways to get stoned if one insists on getting stoned.

Well... Mormon principle and practice haven’t always matched up. Some of our ex-Mormon Freepers have quite a bit of reported dirt on that, historically if not currently.

Hey, Elsie!

To be sure!

But, to be fair, neither has Baptist P&P; Catholic P&P; Buddhist, Shinto, Hindu, musilm, Methodist, Wesleyan, yada yada yada.

But at least none of these things were built upon the shenanigans of a 14 year old conman and known shyster.

Salt Lake definitely has its trashy parts like any other city. Cruise Pioneer Park after dark—if you wanna die.
