Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Dallas, listed a Dallas efficiency apartment as his permanent residential address when he filed for re-election:
(snip)
Unit #1197 at 8547 Southwestern in The Village Apartments complex appears to be completely empty. Neighbors living closest to Unit #1197 report that no one lives in the apartment, and that it has been empty for years. They have not seen anyone coming or going, to or from the apartment, and have never seen anyone resembling Pete Sessions in the area ever.
Wasn’t he one of the good ones?
OK so apparently it’s a battle between the shoplifter and the incumbant who may or may not live in the district?
again, NONE of these guys live more than a 30 minute drive from the Washington Monument.
This is one of those ten reasons why Congress should only be in session twice a year for sixty days at a whack. Force these guys to go back home and be more than just a pretender resident.
Let’s do a tally...Senators included. How many have set up permanent basecamp in DC, and haven’t lived in their district or state in at least ten years? Those are the guys who ought to be kicked out...doesn’t matter what political affiliation they claim they are....they aren’t representing the state anymore...just their party.
Went to Gulf Breeze Florida for a wedding a couple of years
ago and one of the things that stood out was the
Floridians with their dead pan stare, lacking any sign of
emotion. Kinda like a practiced poker face with a slight
looking down their nose impersonal way to it. They were
polite but tended to look away as though any input to
the conversation wasn’t worth the effort. Sill better than
what I experienced in New Yiyke. People don’t intimidate
me and I’ll walk up and start a conversation with anyone.
Maybe they are not used to people like me, a Texan.
Those are some dumpy apartments, especially for a rich Congressman.
I think Petey divorced his wife of many years (he also has a Down Syndrome son) to take up with a newer model. As for the crummy neighborhood of his “ permanent residence,” why shell out for a luxury abode if you are not going to live there?
