A Texas Army post has razed the building where a former psychiatrist carried out one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history, with plans to put up trees and a memorial in its place.
Fort Hood officials said Tuesday that they've torn down Building 42003, the site of a 2009 massacre that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded.
The building was part of a processing center complex for soldiers deploying and returning from combat. On Nov. 5, 2009, then-Maj. Nidal Hasan carried two weapons inside, shouted "Allahu Akbar!" "God is great" in Arabic and opened fire on soldiers waiting for vaccines and paperwork.

And I sit here wondering whether that Muslim military infiltrator is still getting his Army pay.
IIRC, once he was convicted, the Army was able to go and pull back all that salary he’d been drawing.
So what’d they do with all of it? Donate it to CAIR?
is still getting his Army pay.
Not drawing his pay, but still drawing oxygen.
WHY is That?
Perhaps because our Dear Leader is really a Muslim.
Tear it down.....
And put up a shooting range. And allow soldiers who are trained in the use of firearms, to actually carry and practice using them on base, for protection as needed. If anyone is allowed to open carry, it should be a military base.
All over ‘workplace’ violence? /sarc

From the following article - a park-like memorial will be in its place.
Fort Hood demolishes site of 2009 massacre
The demolition is the first step in transforming the site: Fort Hood officials say the building will be replaced with trees, a gazebo and a plaque memorializing the victims.
Friend of soebarkha....
Until he is convicted in a court, he is entitled to receive his pay at his current military rank.
Soooo- How are they going to collect what has already been spent??
He's still getting his meals and accomdation courtesy of the U.S. Army. But they don't pay him.
The longest serving prisoner on the military death row was sentenced in 1988. Nidal isn't going to be executed any time soon, and it has nothing to do with Obama.
They haven’t the money to provide proper benefits to the families, but they have the money to build a “memorial.” Will it be loaded with Islamist symbolism like the one in Pennsylvania to the “Let’s Roll” martyrs?
Long past time to tear down F-in’ Nadil Hasan, Obama’s transitional terrorist buddy.
A monument to workplace violence and the uncomfortable feeling jihadists have serving in today’s hate filled US military...
