It wasn’t conservatives and Freepers who fell, it was Rubio.

Absolutely it was conservatives and freepers who fell.

Because Rubio outlined his amnesty plans in spanish language speeches which were posted on YouTube.

They were linked to here. Yet many decided to ignore that and voted for him anyway..

After he did as he told his Spanish audiences he would, these Freepers acted outraged.

That takes a special kind of stupid.

“Rubio mistakenly believed Krauhammer’s assertion that backing ‘immigration reform’ (amnesty) would ‘save’ the GOP. Both were mistaken. The Republicans should propose securing the border first, with adequate funding, then worry about the rest of it - with no amnesty.”

I am for amnesty. Under conditions. One, the border is closed and that doesn’t mean a cute fence. Two, all illegals currently in the US who have a criminal record are deported wth families. Three, all illegals MUST have a sponsor, either an employer or clergy. And finally, illegals receiving citizenship are forbidden to vote for a period of 10 years.

The GOP did not sabotage Rubio.

Egged on by folks like Krauthamer, and one of Rubios lieutenants who happened to work for Soros before, Rubio sabotaged himself.

He got to where he was using the Conservative base, and then he decided to throw them under the bus. They hollered, and now Rubio, Krauthamer and the New York Magazine and others want to blame everyone but Rubio for his own problem.

Hey Cherry baby nobody is “falling” for anything but you. When Marco the “Rube” got in bed with Chucky Schumer he made his own whore’s bed. He is a phony and deserves the treatment he got.

For a Republican, going into the Senate is sabotage. All Republican Senators are terrible.

Seems like you are mimicking the DU position on shAmnesty.

Rubio made a Rookie mistake and was played. The establishment knows that the people have figured out that when the words “comprehensive” or “bi-partisan” are used to describe a bill, this mean big trouble. The elites used Rubio as cover to do the same ol same ol.

Rubio could have come out of the immigration thing as a hero to conservatives and been set up for 2016 ....if he had went into those negotiations, worked a couple of weeks on the bill...then announced “the bill being drafted in the senate puts illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens and I can not be involved in drafting a bill that does that “ ....

1.) It would have killed the bill ...no way they would have gotten to 60 without Rubio (at the time this was all happening he was the face of the bill)

2.) conservatives would have loved for someone to poke a stick in the eye of McCain and Graham ...which he would have done by blowing up that bill and the gang of 8

3.) separated himself from the Bushes and the rest of the Rove like amnesty whores...

but, he actually believes that amnesty BS ..so he’s dead to me anyway ....

stupid politician ...stupid party

(Over the next few months, conservatives shook off Rubio’s charm offensive and whipped themselves into a familiar frenzy against his immigration-reform plan.)

In other words, they read the bill and the details did not inspire confidence.

"Marco Rubio sabotaged Marco Rubio by choosing to die politically on the same illegal amnesty hill that Bush 43 chose to die politically on."

"There must be some great cash in it for them."

Yep.

After the Republicans cut their own political throats, and relegate the Party to Whig status, forever when they pass amnesty, They will all get phoney baloney jobs at their crony crapitalist donor´s businesses that want the illegals legalized for their low cost labor pools and their retail customer base.

They will be paid double or triple what they get at the taxpayer filled trough at their current phoney baloney political gig, without having to campaign every two or six years.

The simple truth of Bush’s plan was that the only other option was to put all the illegals who had crossed our border on busses and send them back to Mexico.

This is nonsense on stilts. That's like solving the theft problem by making theft legal. The status quo is fine. All that needs to be done is a slow ratcheting up of enforcement, including raids on companies and the deputization of local law enforcement for placing illegals in custody, with a cash bounty for every illegal transferred to the Border Patrol.
