breitbart ^ | 22/21/14 | Brandon Darby

Posted on 02/21/2014 1:22:36 PM PST by Nachum

Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst issued a letter to Secretary of State Nandita Berry today urging her office to immediately turn over all complaints of Battleground Texas’ violations of election law to Attorney General Greg Abbott. While I am glad they are doing something about it, the Texas Secretary of State is pretty powerless. This kind of crap goes on all the time in Texas, and there's no enforcement.

Even Pete Sessions probably won't get investigated.

Don’t worry, the GOP-e will dress him down in no time for his “insensitivity.”

AS I learned when I called the Texas SOS office it can’t do anything except file a complaint with the AG.
The SOS has no investigative power or any power to stop the illegal bs from Battleground Texas
Dewhurst is not much better but in THIS case he is keeping the issue out front

There is almost no coverage of this by Texas media

Thank goodness for Free Republic breithbart Hot Air etc

Was this O’Keefe’s doing?

He’s probably on the “to be Breitbarted” list.

I thought that Gregg Abbott as AG would be conservative enough to demand and direct an investigation into such blatant, provably fraud. If not, he is off my short list for Governor.

Well, since Abbott is AG, I’d say it will get investigated. Also, the lack of coverage is a GOOD thing right now. Don’t want to tip off the Battleground Texas people too soon.

That’s why I’m thrilled it just came out on a Friday afternoon.

Someone is willing to suggest things can get dire fast, (Breitbart/O’Keefe), and yes, even in TEXAS.

One Texan, in office and with an “R” by his name is willing to play offense, and not defense.

It’s time to get off the dime and hear Democrats brag of turning TEXAS blue, and prepare to answer back.

A few of us hate playing defense. Abbot seems to hate it, also.

Enough of this gets exposed and frequent enough then it might put a dent in the voter fraud out there.....

Especially the “groups”..moreso than individuals.

Dewhurst always moves to the right during election season. When it's not election season, he helps his Democrat buddies. That's why so many are trying to give him the boot this time around. Staples would be a good Lt. Governor.

Amazing what a primary challenge can do for a politician’s spine.

I like that they’re doing something, but I must ask - shouldn’t Abbott recuse himself from this investigation? To avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, at least.
