The United Auto Workers said on Friday it filed an appeal with the government over "interference by politicians and outside special interest groups" in an election last week in Tennessee where Volkswagen workers rejected the union. The union said in a statement that its appeal to the U.S. National Labor Relations Board details "a coordinated and widely publicized coercive campaign conducted by politicians and outside organizations to deprive Volkswagen workers of their federally protected right to join a union."

I am SHOCKED! SHOCKED I tell you.
The workers voted... They did’na want ya.
I expect the “Justice” Department will supply tanks to all the union thugs to make sure no such outside interference will ever happen again.
I fear those goons will keep at it until they win.
VW workers sitting on the fence about joining the UAW are going to love the UAW not accepting the vote of the Chattanooga VW workers.
Knew that was coming!
The NLRB will declare the plant unionized. It’s been obvious from the beginning. There is too much union dues/Democrat campaign contributions at stake.
They were told that if they unionized it broke the VW agreement with the state and all the subsidies ended. It was not coercion, but consequences.
Interesting that they are not yelling about he President’s statements in SUPPORT of the union.
Yep, we all knew it was coming and now 0bummer’s NLRB will settle it.
Wonder how they will rule? /sarc
I expect the NLRB to give them a second bite at the apple. They only need to turn around a handful of votes. VW requested that they not visit the employees at home. My dad received a visit from four thugs. He went to the door with his hand wrapped around a snub-nosed .38 and told them to f*ck themselves. Dad was well-known and respected, so nothing happened to him. But he did lose the election, he thought through a counting irregularity. That may be why they didn’t hurt him. But the bruisers who visited him were simply muscle. No other way to describe them.
I would expect this time they’ll visit the holdouts.
Yep, Democrats just cannot accept how people vote, so they keep counting and counting until they get it “right”.
Just ask Al Gore, or Al Franken.
Is there ever a union election in this country where this does NOT happen?
Only liberals politicians and liberal special interests are allowed to comment on union elections. Everyone else should stay out. "It would be a shame if something happened to their families".
Where is that “official seal” of the Democrat (whining crybaby) party?
Yeah, I am real freakin’ shocked. They do what they can to force their grubby little paws onto the factory.
I pass water on the UAW.
I love the smell of desparation in the morning.
I’m still trying to figure out why this is getting national attention when Nissan in Smyrna, TN have told the UAW to shove it for decades.
Well...they oughta know one when they see one.
“interference by politicians and outside special interest groups”
So is Obama considered an outside source. He did put his two cents worth into the election.
See my post below at #19.
VW corporate actually WANTS this plant to be unionized.
The fix is in.
Typical Dem thuggery, keep squealing/manipulating until you get the out come you expect.
That goes without saying..................
They checked the wrong boxes I tell you. It mustve been a tricky ballot. I wonder if they spelled the YES wrong???
Which is all the more reason to have secret ballot elections.
I thought you had politicians from both sides including Obama weighing in on this.
My take on this is that if the UAW gets it’s claws in VW you’ll see what happened to VW in Penn. It will be out of business within 10 years.
Look at the quality of cars at union and non union plants. Not even close.
” They only need to turn around a handful of votes.”
165 people eligible to vote last time didn’t vote. If they vote this time the union will lose by a bigger margin.
They would have voted the first time if they wanted the union.
The union goons are going to pull a lot of dirty tricks, threaten and intimidate people, and even resort to violence to get their way.
Pray for the people who are going to face an onslaught of union thuggery.
This was expected after Corker ran his mouth.
“The United Auto Workers said on Friday it filed an appeal with the government over “interference by politicians and outside special interest groups””
You mean like the UAW?
Fire everyone who voted for the union and run at 50% until you can fill the positions.
Then get some pipe hitting brothers and go Mideival on the union thugs a$$e$.
You mean only one side gets to campaign in a union vote?
I thought you knew that....
By golly, we just found a batch of 300 pro-union votes!
An extensive search is now on for liberal judge to side with the Marxist unions.
The members of the Tennessee legislature threatened to withdraw tax breaks if the union was let in. If they had only kept their stupid mouths shut then the union would have been voted down and the UAW wouldn’t have anything to appeal on. But that would have been the smart thing to do, and smart apparently is a disqualifying trait for membership in the Tennessee House and Senate.
Well, that didn’t take long.
That should last about 10 minutes.
I suspect VWs CAFE standards ail be getting a second look, and OSHA, EPA IRS et.al. will be setting up a field office across the street.
and when we’re done with this asinine election, we’ll try to recall Wis. governor.....great idea
