Venezuela's Maduro wants talks with Obama

"I call for a dialogue with you, Obama," Maduro said. "You can designate (U.S. Secretary of State John) Kerry or whoever you want to come to this dialogue and I will send my foreign minister ... for this high-level meeting."

At the same time, Maduro accused Obama of failing to live up to a commitment not to "interfere with Venezuelan affairs."

"What you have said has not been carried out," he said.

The United States and Venezuela have not had resident ambassadors since 2010, although they have maintained diplomatic missions and active embassies.

Maduro's call to exchange ambassadors comes after his government accused American diplomats of using a visa program as cover to meet with with youth organizers at private universities "for training, financing and creating youth organizations through which violence is promoted in Venezuela."

The expulsion, which President Nicolas Maduro first announced Sunday, comes after the State Department expressed concerns about rising tensions in Venezuela.

Maduro's news conference comes amid questions of whether he can hold onto control of the country amid rising demonstrations.

I find it hard to believe that Obama would do anything to harm a fellow liberal hypocrite.

Scrooge that big Mad stump. If I was Pres I’d say first release Lopez, don’t kick our ambassadors out, allow the free press to operate and then we’re open for talks. Otherwise no deal bus driver moustache. Enjoy the stew pot your in as Hugo’s afterglow fades to dark. Hasta luego chump.

The big Mad is spooked about what’s going on in Ukraine. The corpse of Chavez won’t help him anymore. How about sending some USA toilet paper as a ‘peace offering’ to that blockhead? Leftist jerkwad.

First he blames us and now he wants us to bail his butt out of the problems that socialism cause.

Nope we need to sit this one out and let the locals decide for themselves.

The protests must really have Maduro scared. I can’t think of any other reason why he’d suddenly want to talk.

So Maduro is accusing the USA State dept. of fomenting and promoting political organizations to overthrow his Socialist government...???

Obviously, Maduro isn't paying much attention to our own socialist in chief...

Heck, they are comrades in arms...ideologically speaking

I'm half surprised Obama hasn't sent in the CIA to help put down the protests..

It’d be a shame to lose a budding dicktater so early in his lowlife, corrupt career. Why he probably hasn’t even finished his requisite “palace” yet. And with the terlet paper shortage I expect he’ll be ordering in Frog biddettes? Or maybe just firehoses?

The old “foreign enemy” thing is about page two in the despots handbook. Hugo used it as regular operation. Remember how he was always shaking a big red sheet, yelling booga booga the Americans are coming, to distract from all his failings? The classic of course was blaming us for his toilet paper shortage.

What Venezuela could use is 200 dollar a barrel oil.

And Obama has done everything in his power to see that happens.

Obama banned offshore drilling, banned Keystone pipe line, used the EPA to try to stop fracking, has tried to single handedly eliminate coal as a competitive energy source and commited billions to useless crap like Solyndra.

Too bad for Obama that the free market has beaten him as fracking has proved to be environmentally safe, and we are now shipping oil by train instead of by pipeline and Americans are actually conserving energy on their own without solyndra.

We are also in compliance with the old Kyoto protocol because of fracking.

The image is powerful. Two marxist dictators and one pinko toady all meeting at the Red House. Great photo-op. Hope the pictures include all those rolls of toilet paper they will have with them.

Why, you ask, would they all have rolls of toilet paper at a White House meeting?

Well, I say observantly, when you have three total assholes meeting in one place, you are going to need a lot of toilet paper to keep from messing up the place.
