WASHINGTON The explosive politics of health care have divided the nation, but America's governors, Republicans and Democrats alike, suggest that President Barack Obama's health care overhaul is here to stay.
While governors from Connecticut to Louisiana sparred on Sunday over how best to improve the nation's economy, governors of both parties shared a far more pragmatic outlook on the controversial program known as "Obamacare" as millions of their constituents begin to be covered.
"We're just trying to make the best of a bad situation," Republican Gov. Terry Branstad, of Iowa, who calls the health care law "unaffordable and unsustainable," yet something he has to implement by law. "We're trying to make it work as best we can for the people of Iowa."

The Uniparty.
I read in USA Today (free in the breakroom at work, I would never pay to read that rag) how the Republican Party is going to use .gop as a domain. What clueless, effing morons. Do they not realize that people are live-blogging on their phones and posting updates to Facebook and Twitter? What future candidates are going to pay the GOP to have their website on their domain?
Well at least the articles gives us a good list of politicians too oust
So, when’s the March on D.C. and every state capitol in the union to really settle this, because it’s obvious that the political class thinks Obamacare is irreversable the same way that they think Obama is unimpeachable.
Unsustainable, by definition, means it ISN'T "here to stay".....
Nazism and fascism wasn't "HERE TO STAY", it was an evil that had to be recognized until it could be REMOVED.
So it is with Hussein's Death Panel Law.
With all due respect to the governor and his parents, the consequence of Gov. Branstad's parents evidently not making sure that Gov. Branstand was taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers when he was growing up is the following. Gov. Brandstand does not understand that the Founding States made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitution's silence about things like public healthcare means that government power to regulate, tax and spend for healthcare purposes is automatically reserved uniquely to the states, not the federal government.
In fact, the Supreme Court has officially clarified that the states have never granted to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress. (emphases added) Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Also, Judge Andrew Napolitano will read Congress's Article I, Section 8-limited powers to freepers in three minutes, noting that those clauses don't the power to establish a national healthcare program.
Judge Napolitano & the Constitution
Patriots need to wake up their state government leaders concerning constitutionally indefensible federal Obamacare Democratcare.
Once Obama is out and you get the House, Senate and Presidency they can dissolve it.
Let this go for 20 years when nobody will remember what private insurance was and how well it worked and you will get a problem.
Bull.
That’s just the problem.
Even when ‘conservatives’ are elected, there’s no certainty that they understand or accept the limitations of the Constitution.
I hear its cheaper and becoming better in Costa Rica, plus its cheaper to live there.
Has my interest.
With all due respect to the voters, state government "leaders" are probably as constitutionally clueless as the voters who elected them are.
Might as well call him Governor Braindead ...
I am.
......my next door neighbors are from Minnesota. We all live west of Austin. So, come on down.
They are GREAT neighbors by the way.
.......I think it is the height of arrogance for Ken Thomas to proport to know what is going to happen with Obamacare.
Nobody knows and that is a fact. ONE of many reasons nobody knows is 17 trillion in debt which is really 100 million in debt and nobody really knows the outer limit of that either because contingent liabilities and GAAP don’t work together well.
The single biggest transfer of political power in American History is about to happen this year. I suggest Mr. Thomas shut up until we see how many Rino’s and Democrats we are able to get rid of. Some may be surprised at the number including our ever present doomsday swearing freepers.
289 good conservatives in the house and 67 Senators equals retirement time for Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Biden and Jarrett too!....with hopefully some prosecutions to follow.
Oh, they know what they’re doing. They never really sold out if they actually backed this from the beginning; they’re deceivers.
Friend posted a city sign on FB today. Coffee City... just happens to be in TX on a lake..
a lake for me is a must.
we are planing a trip down south to tour areas we’d like to take our money to.
I do contract IT work and structured cabling. So I need to be near a larger metro area. Something Coffee city seems to lack :(
Governor Branstad certainly did not say that Obamacare was “here to stay.”
