RE: We bring in 1.2 million LEGAL IMMIGRANTS a year, so even if there were a zeroing out of illegal immigration, we would still have major problems.
Depends on the type of LEGAL immigrants we’re getting. If they are entrepreneural, brainiacs, educated, law abiding, and willing to assimilate and obey our laws, I don’t see any problems with that.
I have a big problem with those.
But, in large part, they're not. Thanks to Teddy Kennedy's immigration law, they're largely third world relatives of third worlders who immigrated here previously.
We don't have a merit based system. We have a kinship system that brings in hundreds of thousands of high school dropouts annually. And do we really need 1.2 million immigrants a year while 20 million Americans are unemployed or underemployed? Immigrants are taking jobs from Americans and depressing wages. If we truly had a shortage of labor, wages would be increasing, not decreasing.
These immigrants send over $48 billion a year back to their home countries. And immigrants vote more than two to one Democrat.
