WASHINGTON One of the tea-party leaders in Congress believes the days of Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, as speaker of the House of Representatives are numbered.
Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, told WND he predicts Boehner will no longer be speaker by next January, regardless of the outcome of the midterm election in November.
The Texan doesnt think it will take a coup to remove Boehner, believing the tide is already moving in that direction, and saying, I think people are ready for a change.
And Gohmert would see that as a change for the better, because, he says, Weve got to have someone who is smart enough to realize it was (Sen. Majority Leader) Harry Reid (D-Nev.) who shut down the government, not the GOP.
In addition to predicting the downfall of Boehner as speaker, Gohmert also told WND:
* He believes the majority of GOP voters have tea-party values
* He approves of GOP primary challenges to establishment incumbents by conservatives
* He suspects the establishment GOP is at war with the tea party because of fear
* He feels it is realistic to believe a tea-party candidate could win the presidency

Gohmert, Cruz, Lee, Palin should all come out and say “Rove does not speak for me or my constitutients so the press needs to stop quoting him.”
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst ...
Make it so!
Will Boehner be ousted before January? Only if he resigns the Speaker position. The House as a whole votes for the Speaker, I think the House as a whole would have to vote to remove him and I don’t see the Dems playing along. Will Boehner be Speaker in the next Congress? Not a chance.
I would like to see them take a shot at removing him now.
The trouble is the next 2 up are not much better: Cantor and McCarthy.
Amnesty Ryan was making noise about being interested in becoming speaker a few weeks ago.

Boehner would not have been elected in January 2013 if Bachmann has not backed down during the Tea Party revolt. They had the numbers to unseat him, but Bachmann switched support.
Ironically, she later lost her chairpersonship. What a nice ‘thank you’ from the Speaker.
“Gohmert as Speaker and Gowdy as whip?
How about the reverse?
BTTT.
Keep speaking out, Louie.
“What about Trey Gouty (sp?).”
We can’t have another Speaker weak on amnesty. Gowdy has some good traits, but if he wants to play footsie with Pelousy on “immigration reform”, we don’t need the guy anywhere near a leadership position.
didn’t Bonehead say he wouldn’t run for Speakership next time?
Very likely. But if the GOP doesn't get its act together soon and stop throwing the Tea Party under the bus, then we better not be surprised if Boehner hands the gavel back to Pelosi come January.
Either way would make me very happy.
My rep is Cantor, and with one exception, during my college years, I have not been given to political activism.
However, this year I will move heaven & earth to get rid of Cantor.

Obama has found how to cause extreme fear in Speaker Boehner.
Boehner lives in fear of Obama, PERIOD.
The last thing that America needs is a coward such as Boehner as Speaker of the House, PERIOD
Boenher needs to resign by April 15, 2014 for the good of America, PERIOD.
Obama needs to be Impeached during 2014, PERIOD.
I say Louie should be appointed as Speaker of the House.

I’d love to see him as Speaker of the House. BTW, they are “elected” by House members; not “appointed”.
You aren’t the only one in VA-7 who wants change. I’m ready to get rid of him too.
