War fighters, not bureaucrats bear the brunt of cuts
Fox News.com ^ | February 24, 2014 | Chris Stirewalt

The NYT reports that Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will today announce plans to slash the United States Army’s fighting force to its smallest level since before World War II as well as eliminating an entire class of attack aircraft, including the fearsome A-10. Obama officials say that the smaller fighting force reflects budget realities and an end to large-scale foreign wars.

SecDef Hagel just opened his remarks with thanks to an underling named Hale for creating this budget and wishing him a happy and well deserved retirement which Hale is beginning forthwith.

Translation: the buck stops with a Pentagon retiree.

John Bolton and Ollie North are slamming this budget on Fox right now.

“an end to large-scale foreign wars”

Who knew that budget cuts could end these types of wars?

Or perhaps they mean our ability to fight large-scale foreign wars will end.

“Obama officials say that the smaller fighting force reflects budget realities”

That’s political B.S. because the “budget realities” are from his chosen increases in the government entitlement state.

Second, the DOD needs to moderate any impact on the pay and benefits for soldiers by first drastically cutting the bloated DOD bureaucracy in Washington D.C.

Shut down the A10? Pure stupidity. That is one helluva fighting platform for front line support.

Cut the fighting forces and leave the bureaucrats? That is not surprising, coming from this criminal enterprise administration.

Zero is working feverishly to complete his ‘fundamental change’ plans prior to ending his term...if he ends it.

Just sayin’

North Korea emerges with the second-largest uniformed military services in the world.

The National Civilian Defense Force, as envisioned by then-candidate Barack Hussein Obama back in 2008, is well on its way to becoming “as well funded as the military forces”.

Meanwhile, has anybody noticed the increasingly brutal manner in which local police cadres are handling their detainees and street arrests?

Unlike the Defense Department, there are no restrictions like the Posse Comitatus act to preclude the deployment of this National Civilian Defense Force. Shooting upon American citizens is no longer going to be a prohibited act.

This is a man caused disaster budget from the divider in chief. The community organizer is throwing out more red meat for the Dim base and starting another divisive crisis to move the subject off of Democratcare.

I thought less than 16% of the Army were combat soldiers? Are these cuts that targeted?

Bureaucrats make the cuts. They’re not gonna cut their own jobs or their friends jobs. Much easier to cut people you don’t know. Recency, familiarity bias in action

This is the idea; reward bo’s parasites, and penalize our working warriors. Bo and his criminal allies know that the military workers are not his friends. They love America and hate Kenyan faggots. go figure.

Not at all. That arrogant pos occupant of the Spite House hates not only this great nation, but also the military and E5 Hagel is a useful idiot.

All this makes plenty of sense if you’re trying to help the enemy. I think there’s a word for that.
