She may not look anywhere near her 76 years but Jane Fonda says she is well aware of her age.
The Hollywood legend – who has made her career in an industry which isn't exactly kind to aging actresses - admits she has been brought to tears on more than one occasion recently as she comes to terms with her own mortality.
In a thoughtful blog post entitled 'Crying', which has since been removed, Jane wrote: '[I've been thinking], how come my tears are so close to the surface? And I’ve come to feel it has to do with age. I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious (sic).'
Despite Jane worrying about her mortality, she believes getting older has its advantages, namely allowing her to appreciate the beauty in the world.
She said: 'With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more.
'I feel myself becoming part of everything. I seem to be super sensitive to people's joy and pain. I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polars bears, and elephants, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas and chimpanzees (sic).'
Most recently Jane found herself becoming emotional at her friend Kerry Washington’s baby shower on Sunday.
She wrote: 'Today I was at Kerry Washington’s baby shower. She's 7 months pregnant and looking radiant.
'It was a wonderful party with guests being asked to go into a photo booth and take 6 different poses that were then mounted on a black paper where we could write a message....

There’s a photo of her at the site that shows excessive plastic surgery, but she didn’t hide her horrible old purple claws. Gross.
The narcissism just jumps right out of the words, doesn’t it?

She should have been hanged long ago. In my opinion, she has been around far too long.

You’d think she had no trouble with circulation.

Skin thins out with age on the hands. The veins show more. Notice she has her neck covered? That’s gone south too.
She is feeling the heat so to speak...
I thought she had become a born again Christian. She should not have fear of her mortality.
If she is not born again by the time she dies, she will get what many believe she has coming.
I’m at the point now where I don’t wish that on anyone.
JMHO, but if she is truly a born again Christian, I think she should at least apologize for the evil treasonous life she has lead, and the damage she has caused.

Under most circumstances, I tend to agree with you. For example as much as I despise Clinton, hillary, BO, etc I really have no care for where they will spend eternity.
BUT
Fonda is a special case.
She and Kerry were virtually the same person..
they both interacted with the North Vietnamese.
In the 70’s they both denounced the Military and I have no real animosity towards them for that.
My problem comes when 20 or so years later they both come back addressing the very people they damned earlier with some sort of false pride, strictly to further their own careers.
Kerry, I don’t care where he ends up, at least he did do the time.
Fonda, as far as I am concerned, Hell is to good for her.
For a ‘reminder’ check #15 out...THAT IS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED.
She has eternity to face, maybe that’s her worry.
But not seeing the light...
