Attorney General Eric Holder has given the nod to his state counterparts that they do not have to defend laws they consider discriminatory -- effectively giving the green light for states to stop defending bans on gay marriage.
Holder addressed the issue during a gathering of state attorneys general on Tuesday, after detailing his position in a New York Times interview.
Speaking to the National Association of Attorneys General, Holder said that any decision not to defend individual laws must be "exceedingly rare" and reserved for "exceptional circumstances." He indicated that legal challenges to gay marriage bans would qualify as such a circumstance.
"In general, I believe that we must be suspicious of legal classifications based solely on sexual orientation," he said.

This is the collapse of the Rule of Law. If our betters are free to choose which laws they’ll enforce, then we’re free to decide which laws we’ll obey. Their laws forcing me to recognize pervert “marriage” are no more binding than my constitutional amendments forbidding it.

This is very dangerous legal procedure here, over and above the issue of homosexual marriage.
This technique, of not defending a challenged law in court, means that the plaintiffs automatically win,and get to overturn laws they don’t like.
They are succeeding in forcing homosexual marriage through the courts by.simply not defending the law in court.
This is totalitarian thinking at work. Any law or regulation which liberals don’t like is now able to be discarded, very easily. The state decides not to defend the law in court, and the liberal plaintiffs win automatically.
This is a very dangerous trend, over and above the push for homosexual marriage.

Black pastors want Holder impeached over gay marriage stance

A group of conservative black pastors called Tuesday for Attorney General Eric Holder’s impeachment, saying the Obama administration has “sold out” with its support for gay marriage.
The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) is targeting Holder after concluding that going after the nation’s first black president would be a losing battle.
“If Obama was a white man, he would be impeached,” said Rev. William Owens, the group’s founder and president. “Obama has been given a free pass to do what he pleases, but I don’t give him a pass. I’m very black, been black all my life. He doesn’t get a pass. I don’t give him a pass.”
The group is launching an effort to gather a million signatures in support of Holder’s impeachment.
“He will go down in history as the worst attorney general,” Owens said.
The lamestream media backs them up; they must be right.
