It wasnt a hard sell to get Texas Sen. Ted Cruz to speak at Donald Trumps famously plush Mar-a-Lago Club mansion in the wealthiest county in Florida.
Palm Beach County Republican Party Vice Chairman Mike Barnett has been holding the spot for Cruz since last year, when conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham beat him to the punch and headlined the county partys 2013 annual Lincoln Day fundraiser.

Wow, that is good!!!
That is a riot! Must listen!
You have to wonder if Jay Leno wrote that monologue.
Rush Limbaugh just touched base on the James Carville compliment, on Ted Cruz.
Cruz hit the other party too, drawing laughter and applause when he noted the weather in Washington had been so cold lately, I actually saw a Democrat with his hands in his own pockets.
******** Bada bing!
Cruz getting a bit used to the party atmosphere? He was off to Mandela’s funeral circus pretty quickly as well.
He still had more class than 0Bama!
Aaarrgh - I would have wanted to attend this. Wish I would have known but go figure the local Repubs can barely organize a BBQ.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
Palm Beach County the Stupidest BUT the Richest county in Florida..
The Home of very rich but very dumb democrats..
Trump is a shark in a pond of minnows..
What was it Carville said - something about Cruz being the most talented politician to come along in decades?
Jay used cue cards...I didn’t see anything cueing Cruz.
Does this annointing by Cruz take the Trumpster off the FR enemies list?
” - - - But the evening had a serious purpose, and Cruz took it on.
The reason all of you are here tonight is because of your kids, because of your grandkids, he said. The reason were here is everyone in this room you love this country, you love freedom, and you love our kids and grandkids and want the best world for them. - - - “
This quote by Senator Cruz defines what and why I write on Free Republic.
Great talker! maybe—just maybe—he’s the ONE! The one to restore America. I once thought he needed more experience—after this—maybe not—He’s Ready to be president of the USA. Now only question is who would be a good VP? Ryan? Palin? Trump? Paul, Lee? Maybe even Mitt Romney? or Jay Leno?
He’s the very best.
He's clearly quite comfortable giving speeches (While at Princeton he won the top speaker award at both the 1992 U.S. National Debating Championship and the 1992 North American Debating Championship). We know he excels in a debate format (He was Princeton's highest-ranked debater in the 1995 World Universities Debating Championship). If he can learn to be anywhere near as comfortable in televised appearances with hostile interviewers, he's golden. (I'm still cringing over his Leno appearance)
Here's my favorite picture from this Florida appearance:
Must watch! He’s good. He reminds me of Reagan.
Great post! I didn’t know that about my senator!
Lucky you! He’s terrific.
He makes us proud!
