I have the feeling Cruz sees POTUS as a divine calling that he is obligated to follow. I do not see any negatives to that.

Why hasn’t the GOPe impeached Eric Holder?

I get that they don’t want to impeach the “first black president” even though I would. However, Eric Holder is ripe fruit. There is plenty of dirty and he is Obama’s #1 bag man.

Take him down!

The only thing worse than arrogance is ignorance.
Appointed bureaucrats can't be "impeached."
They can only be removed by the person who appointed them, or his legal successor...

Why do people keep beating that dead horse??

The Secretary of War, William W. Belknap, was impeached by the House in 1876.

The damage is done. Even undoing the law will cause massive turmoil all over again.

We know every national agency was available to assist the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. We know the NSA can, on request, provided intel on pubbies to the rats. We know the GOPE is quite comfortable enjoying the perks and powers and money in Washington, DC. We know Eric Holder is using every means available to stomp on voter ID and prevent the cleanup of state voter rolls.

The 2012 election was a prelude, an introduction to future elections that will be a mere formality, a hat tip to the traditions of our once free republic. Romney wasn't supposed to win, he was window dressing. All 2012 did was condone a criminal government.

Sweeping executive powers will never be allowed in the hands of a conservative president. Neither the rinos nor rats will stand for a president Ted Cruz.

Thus, on what basis are we to empower them?

There arose, in Egypt, a pharaoh that knew not Joseph...

Carter only had one term; Obama has, will have had two terms.

CHOICE has had 10 terms.

Carter and Obama are pissants in their collective impact compared to that!

[Cruz] shouldn’t run for prez. I like him and he’s the current soul of the Conservative Party, but he’s a Senator and Senators rarely make good presidents.

But are you aware of anybody else with:

a. Cruz' conservative principles?

b. His steadfastness in favor of those principles?

c. His demonstrated leadership ability?

d. His backbone and willingness to take on tough tasks in the face of fierce opposition?

Senators tend to fail in executive positions because they're consensus-seekers, not leaders. Cruz isn't a consensus-seeker; he is a leader.

Cruz is the best we've got. Indeed, he's the best we've had...in a long, long time.

When Ted Cruz becomes pres the first thing he should do is void all Executive Orders done be GW and BO and not issue EOs any more.

No; he should emulate Washington:

Washington’s Prayer for the United States of America appears on a plaque in St. Paul ’s chapel in New York City
as well as at Pohick Church, Fairfax County, Virginia, where Washington was a vestryman from 1762 to 1784:

Almighty God,

We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field.  and finally, that he would most graciously be please to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Devine Author of our blessed Religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation.

Amen.

And now, Almighty Father,

If it is Thy holy will that we shall obtain a place and name among the nations of the earth, grant that we may be enabled to show our gratitude for Thy goodness by our endeavors to fear and obey Thee. Bless us with thy wisdom in our counsels, success in battle, and let our victories be tempered with humanity. Endow, also, our enemies with enlightened minds, that they become sensible of their injustice, and willing to restore our liberty and peace. Grant the petition of Thy servant, for the sake of whom Thou hast called Thy beloved Son; nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done.

--George Washington

Ya. Because GOP believe in the constitution as it exists. Not changing it to suit their needs. The difference between a conservative and a liberal.

I like your example of Nixon.

On the other hand, Clinton had the full support of the Democrats during the Lewinski scandal, or as I like to refer to it, the obstruction of justice scandal.

That was the plan all along. Get voters used the the “freebies” and then good luck trying to take them away.
