Just turned on the local news to see how much rain they thought we were going to get based on their latest coin toss. Quite a few minutes devoted to the results of an exhaustive study concerning “potentially” toxic emissions coming out of the Ship Channel area and EPA concerns about the quality of Texas’ air. Supposedly if you live in an area marked by dark blue on the map your risk of getting cancer “could be” 75,000 times greater. The reporter did qualify the results by saying that the study did not take into account family history, etc.
Then they interviewed some gal who said had she known about the increased danger she would have moved farther away from the downtown area.
Expect the Chronicle to get on the bandwagon next. The libs will be coming out of the woodwork and want to shut down everything within 100 miles of us. Just get so tired of this crap from the government and all their studies.

Unfortunately, hers are 40-year old tricks, and nobody's buying them any more.
Any aware citizens of Marin County who watched the carpetbagger perform on the County Board of Supervisors is aware that "the environment" was her go-to argument for stopping every proposed project ever proposed.
It got hilarious after a while, because every environmental nut group which supported her (Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, Friends of the Dirt and every Bugs and Bunny nut job) would show up en masse to support her.
There was a strong suspicion that one of these groups had a "Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse" in a cage (endangered species) which they would release at every project proposed within ten miles of San Pablo Bay, and then anonymously report its location for capture as proof. Worked like a charm, until people noticed the mouse looked familiar no matter where in the County it was "found."
