The Boston Athletic Association has indicated it will crack down on bandit runners and even ROTC marchers who dont have registration numbers, according to an email released today that also bans participants from bringing bags to this years Boston Marathon as part of higher security measures following the 2013 bombings.
This really is the year they need to avoid the Boston Marathon, BAA spokesman Marc Davis said about bandits and military marchers. With an already large field, it is just not the year to run if youre not registered. Were asking unregistered runners to just stand on the sidelines and cheer.

Lots of unregistered people run,and have done so for many years. There will be some very unhappy people.
The Marathon is a big yawn anyway, unless you have someone running.
If I were into marathons my response would be, “Catch me if you can!”
I bet they won’t ban Brukas!
Maybe I can’t blame them for this but the bombers were spectators, and spectators are always going to be harder to police than participants so it’s hard to see this as anything other than symbolism over substance.
US asset that went rogue —acted nutzo, got in touch with the real crazies, later identified with them and flipped to the dark side.
FBI killed that Florida guy in the field, “he lunged at us”. They were probably worried the guy knew his buddy had been a US asset, wanted to avoid scandal blow-back.
...and Happy Meals.
Someone should mention to them it wasn’t a bag that exploded.
Not only are they locking the barn door after the horses have left — they are locking ALL the doors on every empty barn except the one with the horses.
Tough! People spend a lot of time, blood, sweat, tears and money to earn the opportunity to "Boston". Bandits are nothing more than shoplifters without a conscience.
What you may not know is that those military members had just crossed the finish line - they weren't resting - they had just crossed it. In full packs iirc. They had started the “race” at dawn, hours before the official start of the race, and had just finished their long (6-7 hours??) march.
And THEY were the ones that sprang to action. They do the marathon in support and memory of injured and dead friends. A guy from the same outfit was in Afghanistan and did his hike going around and around the compound for 24 miles or whatever it is.
Sorry for the long info - but what a way to show these guys the respect and honor that they deserve.
Really? I did not hear that.
But given the oddities around the circumstances, especially the lead-up, it wouldn't surprise me.
Sheesh, that was easy. Why don’t they just pass a law to ban terrorists/criminals/totalitarians. Think of all of the Alphabet Agency $ we could save.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

I heard about the “he lunged at us” guy. The “rogue” analysis is very interesting.
small bang for the BIG BUCK$
So, if I pay taxes that go to the football stadium, I'm "entitled" to play in the Super Bowl? To me, it is something you qualify and pay for, maybe it's acceptable at Boston, but I wouldn't feel right doing it.
But you can still bring your pressure cooker?
I really don’t get it. If no one is chasing you then why would you be runnuing? And sure as hell not in some city on the streets!
Only if your wearing a Burka.
Only if you’re wearing a Burka.
Unlike EVERYONE else, the Boston terrorists did
not need a PASSPORT even after warning by the Russians.
Anyone in JAIL over this yet?
Boston has been voting for this horsesh^^ for the past 50 years. They’ll love it because they feel “safe”. Few cities other than San Francisco, NY and Seattle have a populace with less common sense.
Actually, LAST year would have been a good year to avoid the marathon. Just saying...
