and activist Jane Fonda has revealed that at 76 shes become increasingly aware of her own mortality and admits that she constantly finds herself crying over "the smallest things."
In an emotional and sometimes eccentric blog entry titled "Crying" on her website, JaneFonda.com, the actress says, "How come pretty things, kind deeds, sad stories, acts of courage, good news, someones flax of insight, all get me crying or, at least, tearing up?"

In the blog entry, Fonda didn't reference her political activism, including protesting the Vietnam War. She was photographed during a trip to North Vietnam in 1972 seated on an anti-aircraft battery and was called "Hanoi Jane."
"The Fondas have always been cryers," Fonda wrote. Referring to actor Henry Fonda, she said, "My father once said, Fondas cry at a good steak. My son and daughter are the same. But I find my emotions are way more accessible than they were when I was younger, and Ive come to feel it has to do with age.
"I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious."
Fonda, who starred in such hit films as "Barefoot in the Park," "On Golden Pond," and Barbarella," said that as she gets closer to the end, shes able to appreciate "the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more."
She continued, "I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polar bears, and elephants, whales, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas, and chimpanzees."

A filthy rich commie nutjob to the bitter end. Poor Hanoi jane
She should spend the rest of her days in southern Croatia where she can, ahem, Crimea River.
Boo f***in’ hoo, Jane.
I really can’t wait to see it, maybe I’ll order a cake.
She made much flap, as I recall, about becoming a Christian. However, still pro-abort, still not repentant on hurting our boys....judge a tree by it’s fruit. I can’t judge the state of her soul, but her fruit is rotten and God will decide.
Of course, she will fight to preserve the dolphins, gorillas, and chimpanzees, and murder the unborn children out of "kindness". Lib idiot, you have made your own bed and crapped in it.
Cry Me a River, indeed.
She should listen to the accounts of the former Hanoi POWs facing their mortality at the age of 26, and facing the mortality of their friends.
Oh, that’s right, she sided with the enemy in that situation, aiding, comforting and creating and spreading anti American propaganda, and hasn’t apologized nor been tried properly for it.
“I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polar bears, and elephants, whales, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas, and chimpanzees.”
I thought the title said:
“Jane Fonda, 76, Faces Morality With Tears”
BTW, I ache for a good cheeseburger.
Here Jane, is a poem, maybe it will help...
“I know”, she said.
“I know”, he said.
Together they said, “We know”.
And I said,
“Don’t tell me, I’m not here.
I’m in Vietnam BABY!”
Now just crawl off into the weeds of life and die beotch.
Tet68 said that.
I’ll be in tears too once she kicks the bucket. Tears of laughter. All the American lives she cost with her effing’ stupid stunts.
the fact is, you've lived a rich life and had no worries ever.....silver spoon up the ying yang....
we could care less about some pampered selfish little B actress who only got movie roles because of daddy dearest....
She has been a wealthy American for 76 years and has still learned nothing, still has the mind of a child.

Some things just make me smile.
Yep, the Bible says we will know them by their fruits. Perhaps she is suffering the pangs of the damned. Who knows for sure?
When she goes the Devil will have a new dance partner.
Communism still hasn't taken root?
In a just country that bitch would have been hanged for what she did.I want her to live to be a hundred and be as miserable as she possibly can.
The sooner Hanoi Jane takes the Big Dirt Nap, the better.
It seems this story has been posted on FR several different ways and from different sources. It is still a great story with a nearly perfect ending. That will be coming soon according to the story.
Both of them deserve to be swift booted.
You’re right.... and that’s at the very least.
There will be no tears at my house. She should be concerned for her soul but apparently turns to animals rather than God for comfort.
If I were her I’d cry too. What a waste she turned out to be.
For what it's worth, she has referred to her celebrated North Vietnam photo op as an "unforgivable mistake."
Who really cares? Nothing but a coat hanger abortion loving communist.
Years ago I read about the following incident as related by an American POW who did time at the Hanoi Hilton, and had the additional misfortune of having been visited there by voracious starlet Jane Fonda. I had no trouble googling for this story just now, and found it at http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.asp
“From 1983-85, Col. Larry Carrigan was 347FW/DO (F-4Es). He’d spent 6 [product] years in the Hilton the first three of which he was listed as MIA. His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned/fed/clothed routine in preparation for a ‘peace delegation’ visit.
“They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man’s hand and asking little encouraging snippets like, ‘Aren’t you sorry you bombed babies?’ and, ‘Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?’”
“Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge ... and handed him the little pile of notes.
“Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Col. Carrigan was almost number four

Oops! I just clicked on the second link and they’re saying it’s not true.
“snopes” is a hard-left wing/socialist group who have no credibility with me.
Whether others believe them? Their choice.
The Snopes article, if it is to be believed, debunks the story of Fonda handing over notes from the POWs to their Commie captors and the POWs’ subsequent beatings.
They’re not really a group. It’s just a castrated California husband and his leftist California wife. And whoever finances their wretched little lie-mill.
Very well said, cherry.
This person will not be missed.
I have zero sympathy or compassion for America haters.
Even on this thread and others like it, a point such as the on you are making, will be met wit resistance of much stronger language and adamacy than the posts relevant to the title and article
I’ve come to not state the case any longer. Tgere is so much refutation of it on the Internet
I have met these men on a number of occasions and they tell the story of Fonda just as you tell it. They tell it with passion and in a group, allowing any one of them to refute it. No one ever does. Nor do their families
And this is in the same space as a museum, displaying prison paraphernalia
Btw these fineness suffered so much you can see it, their wives waited years just to find out whether or not they were alive
Fonda could have given them that information. It’s a fact that she did not.
I will get flamed now so will you
But as far as I’m concerned you can believe that story
I won’t ask these guys next time I see them if they lied about the story
Anyone who suffered near death strung up rolled up forced to watch their friends die, to eat urine, cannot have any vice such as dishonesty left in him
I think you are on the wrong thread
Stanne: Well said. I cry for my college teammater Killed In Action in Vietnam in 1967, or my POW acquaintance who was gunned down by the Reds in the Philippines, or the children/wives of POWS who asked me if their father/husbands were coming home (Listed as MIAs).
I cry for the millions of South and North Vietnamese murdered by Ho Chin Minh, Giap, etc, as well as those they helped kill in Laos and the millions in Cambodia (they helped the Khmer Rouge come to power).
Jane Fonda should die now. They’ve got a nice hole in Hell for her - like the one she’s wants in the ground. Only down there is is called a cesspool.
Enjoy eternity up to your red neck in shit. You earned it.
You’re probably right.
Read one of the accounts from these guys. The pilots who were shot down early on
Six years in (what they call) jail
...from what I have been reading about her she will be in great shape and well dressed!
Oh, I think she should have been tried as a traitor, convicted, and tossed into jail for a very long time. But she said what she said, and for once in her life she was exactly right: it was an unforgivable mistake.
Beautifully said. Still a child at 76.
Beautifully said. Still a child at 76.
I will not cry over the smallest things, and number one on the list of “smallest things” for my life will be when Hanoi Jane meets her maker.
AID and COMFORT: Jane Fonda in North Vietnam by Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer
"A thorough review of historico-legal precedent", June 14, 2002 By Phil Dragoo
This is a historico-legal research and summary of the applicable treason law--as actually applied to convict and sentence other American citizens who gave aid and comfort to our enemies during armed conflict.
The author clearly shows that Jane Fonda's actions in 1972 would have brought her case to a grand jury. Based on comparison to the actions of convicted American citizens during WWII, Jane Fonda would likely have been convicted as well.
The eight-minute O'Reilly Factor in which author Professor Henry Mark Holzer confronted Fonda's former husband and comrade Tom Hayden is devastating to observe. Hayden falls back on a lame First Amendment defense, and cannot even grasp that North Vietnamese leaders themselves said Fonda had given them the strength to continue.
The American citizens who broadcast for the Nazis and Japanese propaganda radio in WWII were convicted on less evidence than is displayed concerning Fonda's July, 1972 work for the North Vietnamese.
That the U.S. Department of Justice failed to prosecute for fear of a public relations backlash seems in retrospect cowardly and badly reasoned.
The service of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines was valiant, and their betrayal by Fonda is a vile thing to behold. Her betrayal of the duties of a citizen is clear, and resonates in the cases of John Walker Lindh and Jose Padilla.
Aid and Comfort is relevant for then and now.
“The Snopes article, if it is to be believed...”
Snopes has less credibility than MSNBC. A leftist organization.
What it’s worth is this- “( )0” or next to nothing.
When is dead and buried I am willing to stand in line to piss on her grave.
She is a symbol to what is wrong in America today. Like a previous poster indicated, in most countries traitors are arrested tried and punished, in our nation they join the Democrat party, are promoted, made judges and tenured professors at our universities.
We are paying the price for that today.
News Bulletin! Media whore Jane Fonda becomes first human to contemplate mortality!! Millions stunned by her experience. We’re all gonna die!!
“A filthy rich commie nutjob to the bitter end. Poor Hanoi jane”
Yes, the filthy Communist biatch will not be missed.
I have to admit, however, I did like Barbarella, haha.
looking forward to expelling a lot of digested/processed ice tea on her final resting place in honor of my then older cousin whose name is on a certain wall in Washington DC
