President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner had a rare one-on-one meeting at the White House this week, their first such gathering in more than a year.
At his weekly news conference today, Boehner was asked what he and the president agreed on the most.
"Immigration," Boehner said. "We had a very healthy conversation on immigration."
When asked to elaborate, Boehner gave a long pause and finally said: "You asked a question and I gave you the answer."
The rare common ground reached by the president and the House Speaker is unlikely to yield any reforms in the short term, given the resistance from congressional Republicans to move forward on immigration this year.
But it was a reminder that the door isn't closed entirely on immigration reform. Boehner has repeatedly said this is a chief priority of his - either this year or down the road.
Boehner could have taken the easy way out of the question by saying that he and the president agreed on supporting the troops, or something similarly general. But he decided to say immigration. And inside the Beltway, one word often speaks volumes.

If they do this, I’ll do everything I can do to see to it that the Republican Party becomes a historical note on the ash heap of history - figuratively help burn it to the electoral ground.

Was such a big Ryan fan.
Obama’s Trojan Horse is now filled with House RINOs,
All promising that in 2014 they will ALL be silent.
The Republican’s RINO Rove, and “Wacko Birds” McCain,
Act as the Loyal Rear Guard for the Obama Trojan Horse.
What have we here? So say the skeptical.
Forward, ever FORWARD rolls the Obama Trojan Horse,
Crushing the Constitution, all Checks and Balances, and all who complain,
While the RINOs in Obama’s Trojan Horse stay always silent. and do not complain.
Did Obama capture the House RINOs inside his Trojan Horse?
Or did the Loyal RINOs stampede on to get there first?
The “What” and the “Why” are just idle chatter,
The RINO Five Years of failure, is what the to voter matters.
With only two plus years left to Impeach Obama,
Can the Trojan Horse House RINOs be trusted,
What the Constitution requires elected Stewards to do?
Or will re-elected House RINOs just continue the destructive Obama trauma?

There are 150 million people in Bangladesh, a country with a land area about the size of Wisconsin. They will work for even less than Mexicans. How many of them do you think would like to come to America if given the chance?

That should be a red flag to Boehner. I’ve never agreed with Obama, but if I found myself in that position, I’d have to rethink my position to see if I had missed something fundamental. Why isn’t Boehner trying to figure out what he missed - especially when it’s not hard to see how much harm selectively enforced comprehensive immigration reform will do?

Name one thing they don’t agree on?
They’ve always been on the same page because they are both controlled by the same elite ruler(s). The DC political game to keep the citizens at bay is the two parties playing good cop bad cop. The obozo and the Bonehead are, as most in DC, exquisite orators as well as liars. Cronyism rules DC and it alone secures their ill gotten fortunes. Divided they fall so for them to survive they have to keep us divided. Hence their nerve shattering fear of the Tea Party and patriotic leaders like Sarah Palin.
Especially the Dreamers. What about the poor children all over the world who are poorer than Mexican children.
