WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, a Tea Party favorite seen as a potential 2016 presidential contender, on Thursday put Democrat Hillary Clinton's chances of winning the White House at 40 percent.
"The media thinks she is unstoppable, but they also thought she was unstoppable in the 2008 Democratic primary," which Barack Obama won en route to the White House, Cruz said of the former secretary of state and wife of two-term U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Cruz, who spoke at a Politico Playbook Breakfast, was pressed by moderator Mike Allen on whether he planned to run for the presidency.
"It's premature," the Texas Republican said.
But Cruz said Republicans would stand a better chance of capturing the White House if they put forward a conservative, rather than moderate, candidate.
"Let's look at the last 40 years," Cruz said. "Every single time Republicans have nominated a presidential candidate who ran as a strong conservative, we won. And every time we have nominated a candidate who ran as an establishment moderate, we lost."

I know people who love Hillary. Even they don’t know why.
We need to do more proof about Obama’s phony BC. Because we need to get the argument out there that McCain could run because his parents were American, and Cruz had one American parent, but that Obama, born elsewhere, had no way to receive an American citizenship. His father was Kenyan and his mother was too young to confer it.
At the very least, the madness of the first two years was stopped or slowed. Trillion dollar stimulus, Obamacare, Dodd Frank. I don’t give this congressional leadership good marks on anything, but by getting the majority, the madness was slowed down. Imagine a Pelosi house for the last three years. We would have had much more spending, much higher taxes, more comprehensive bills. Probably another giant stimulus to hand more money to union bosses. We have an element of restraint now on legislative matters.
My understanding is if Reid had seated Scott Brown, as he should have, then we wouldn’t have Obamacare.
One thing you can say...from their point of view ... they did what they had to do..and figured they’d deal with the fallout with the help of the media.

Reagan was an exceptional person and public administrator. I experienced his unusual ability to make decisions many times when he was Governor of California. I wasn’t overjoyed with his going with Bush1 as V.P. but I can understand the need to get the Eastern and I believe the bankers/establishment not to scuttle his nomination. There were a few actions that stuck in my throat but he was far beyond any POTUSA since my voting days after WWII service.

However, I've heard, but not verified, that Scott Walker is a supporter of Common Core. That is a deal breaker.
I've also heard that he is a supporter of immigration reform. Well, who isn't? But what does that mean?
There is only one form of immigration reform I'm for and that is upholding the Constitutional mandate and enforcing the law regarding immigration.
That means 60% odds of her losing. RUN TED RUN!

Not sure what the house has done to oppose Obama
They voted to get rid of it 43 times, but of course the Senate won’t do anything with it.
“I hope he doesn’t quit the Senate to run for POTUS, but instead becomes Senate Majority Leader.”
The Senate is like a union in that seniority trumps everything else. Making a junior a party head is truly unthinkable for them.
At one point I was going to quit my job and go back to school on my own nickel for a PhD degree in Industrial psychology. I figured if I did nothing else for 18 months I’d do it. But a recent PhD grad in the program said, “Your major proff spent seven years getting his and he’ll damn well not let anybody else get one without paying the same dues. The senate is like that. We got John McCain and Bob Dole as candidates because they’d paid their dues and it was now their turn. How else can you explain such poor candidates?
The Senate is like a bucket of crabs; the others pull back the one trying to escape.
He should have said No chance after leaving over 40 men to die in Benghazi and then lying to the family members in front of the coffins about the cause.
Based on observation and experience, I now tend to think outside the normal/common view of "two" party box.
Philosophically, I've learned to see the demonrats and the GOPe rinos as two sides of the same marxist coin and those who control the illusion "win" regardless of which party's candidates take office.
Whether we run with one or we mosey with the other, we never stop progressing to their socialist goal line and societal transformation.
This used to scare me quite a bit and I had many sleepless nights as a result, but I've read enough now to see our situation as part of the last chapter of the story we were born into.
Hillary has even MORE baggage to drag around now; gathered in the last six years since 2008! Her record as SoS shows zero successes, unless you count traveling around a million miles on the taxpayers’ money. She’s disgusting and I think Cruz is being lienient by saying 40%. Sentient citizens are sick of the Clintons!
But the conversion is with the slaves’ joyful consent.
