Wikipedia says that, "
three days after the Sgt. Pepper album was released, Jimi Hendrix opened his show at London's Saville Theatre with his own rendition", on June 4, 1967. True enough, but, what the article misses is that on June 1, 1967, the day it was released, Jimi learned the song and used it as his Stockholm, Sweden opener.

Written by John Lennon while in Rishikesh, India visiting the Maharishi, The Beatles recorded "Yer Blues" on August 13, 1968, at EMI Studios, London. On December 11, 1968, Lennon performed the song for The Rolling Stones' TV special entitled "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" Calling the combo
The Dirty Mac (the soiled raincoat), he formed one of the first English supergroups consisting of Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell. This was the first time since the formation of The Beatles that Lennon, who was still in the group, had performed in public without them.
