WATERLOO | Republican Tom Hoefling believes his party's voters deserve a chance to weigh in on Gov. Terry Branstad before the general election.

When nobody else stepped up to the challenge, Hoefling saw an opportunity to be that choice and voice for issues that he says otherwise would not get attention during the race to Nov. 4.

I lived in Iowa during most of Branstad’s first decade as governor and wasn’t impressed. I don’t recall any tax cuts only tax increases. It is sad that the GOP in Iowa hasn’t developed any new leaders in the last 30 years and has to keep recycling Branstad.

hehe

Branstad is already America’s longest serving Governor ever, depending on how George Clinton (his terms include a pre-Revolution period)is counted.

He doesn’t have the visceral hatred of conservatives that most RINOs have, but usually toes the country club Chamber of Commerce line.

Good for you, Tom.

Dear God, please show up here for Tom. Like Gideon taking on a huge army with only 300 men, he is stepping out in faith in order to serve You.

Maybe God is showing you how many angels are on the hills, ready to fight?

2Kings6:17
And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
