Blockbuster in the making. Son of God blasts off to major viewer numbers, Thursday night and Friday!!! Could be #1 movie this week. Terrific movie across the board. All Americans should see this wonderful, motivating, religious film!!! Son of God will do terrific across the entire world!!!
I had my say. Now try to drive as many people away as you can. That’s a great strategy.
My wife and I and her Bible study group will be in attendance, as will most of her church.

It appears that the movie under discussion took in $9.4 million Friday night; about half a million behind Liam Neeson’s new flick.

Not adding “No one comes to the Father but by Me” to the script was a deliberate choice to alter Scripture.
I remain unconviced as to “which” Jesus..they may be looking for.

This is getting silly . . .I give devotionals away all the time. The thread was about the Movie. If you have seen it then you will agree that important parts of scripture were left out that certainly did not have to be. John 14:6 stands out the most! Jesus is THE ONLY WAY and I am sure that your devotional to your friend will point that out. At least the ones I hand out do.
Why are you so angry about being given information?

Morphing Libertarian must still be ‘morphing’in his faith. Hopefully he will take our comments to heart then read the Bible to find the Truth that will set him free.

Perhaps you can answer this . .what parties are to gain financially from this movie and how? I’m all for profits but not at the expense of trimming the edges on the Scripture in a movie.
Not what you think it is.
This movie will not send people away from Christ but towards Him. It is giving us an opportunity to discuss being Christians in places where it's sometimes difficult to initiate that conversation. Ex: "Wow! saw a great movie the other night" or "Have you seen Son of God yet? It's really great you should". Yes, they left out certain Scripture. However, they still included other Scripture which we can use to glorify God and bring the unbelieving to Him.

I heard an ad on the radio, with Jesus saying: “I...am the Way...and the Truth...” in this breathy, over-dramatic voice.
A big turn-off.
Reminds me of how Robert Powell played Jesus in “Jesus of Nazareth,” staring at everyone and everything like a psychotic, one of those non-blinkers like Marshall Applewhite.
Since Obama is an illegal alien, he’s not President. So respect for the office of the Presidency is not relevant to the way anybody speaks about the baby-killing Muslim Communist turd in the White House.
