Russian military servicemen have taken weapons from a radar base and naval training facility in Ukraine's Crimea region and urged personnel to side with the peninsula's "legitimate" leaders, Interfax news agency said on Sunday. It quoted a Ukrainian Defense Ministry source as saying the Russian servicemen had taken pistols, rifles and ammunition cartridges from the radar post near in the town of Sudak and taken them away by car. Another group of Russian military had also removed weapons from a Ukrainian navy training centre in the port city of Sevastopol, where Russia's Black Sea Fleet also has a base.

national sovereignty is about that fragile
People should remember these stories when amnesty comes up again
LOL. I guess a headline supposed to make you think as they are disarming civilians. Goebbels media.
Of course that couldn't happen here.
What makes you think that won't come next? you fishy Russian smirk-face...we've got your number, around this place. There is a smell...
They would like to, but I am reminded of what Solzhenitsyn said about it.
Please, don’t start again Blue!

It’s for peoples “safety.”
It’s the 21st century. Only backward knuckle dragging conspiracy theorists that are anti-progress and government think that people need guns as part of a checks and balance or self defense. Come on guys, we all know that when things get ugly, law enforcement that has wives and children of their own can be counted on (Katrina, LA riots...) We all know that in today’s world, government can be trusted and the notion that people need guns as part of some control mechanism over government is antiquated (IRS targeting of political opponents to administration, Watergate, gun free zones that have become the playground for the crazies...).
Between stories like this and our shrinking national defense capability, I think it’s time for another Lower Of The Month Club purchase.
Obama might support this invasion . . . if it shows him how to implement his goals.
Same here, but then the civilians are already disarmed.
Odumbo is watching so he can get the ideas to how to take over Amerika. Gee I had surgery on Thursday, and what is going on the Olympics are over and Russia is striving to do another Republic of Georgia move. The so called pres..ent of the US struts around like a Peacock in all its glory and strives to dictate to Putin. Pooty Put probably just said Birth certificate and pres..ent BM crapped his pants. Amerika led by a pantywaist.
Just remember Boston...where people were questioned at gunpoint, where Marshall Law was in place, where our military drove through the streets and knocked on doors threatening everyone.
To quote one of “YOUR OWN”....”What difference does it make...”
Don't know what that difference of that phrase makes any difference or not. America, we get the government that we deserve.
Makes a big difference...
“at this point” invalidated that 4 Americans died..and says to us arrogantly:Don’t you question ANYTHING, we are just moving along!
And Obama sends in Advisors......to see how the Russians do it.
Pelosi smiles because this is like porn for her.
Or like the Serbs confiscating privately owned weapons not to long before they started their games 20 years ago? Or like Hitler passing more anti-gun laws, reinterpreting existing ones, and essentially disarming folks he’s eventually going to round up for destruction? Or, or, or. Lot’s of exceptions out there for those who have a belief in man and government as their savior. It is ironic that many who reject anything that sounds of religion are the ones with a unfounded “belief” and “faith” in man and government.
True...but governments are to “OBEY” the law regardless of which party is in power...! That’s what they take an oath to uphold...
No surprise here.
That’s what the USSA is going to do some day.
There are more than 45 million people in the Ukraine. How many protested? Just curious.
Never mind the lower. If you are worried about shortages, restrictions, etc. you should have already been a member of the whole-thing-of-the-month-club. And if you are just now seeing the problem you should probly be dubblin’up cause you got some catchin’up to do.
“national sovereignty is about that fragile”
Exactly. We already have foreign corporations stealing public land in America by eminent domain and some are all giddy about it, just as some were when the privatized Blackwater gestapo goons were stealing firearms from citizens in Katrina. Our rights are held by a thread in today’s world of a gutless and owned Congress unwilling to do their job of oversight. They are probably in someone’s pocket.
The most precious and conservative element that we must support is protecting our national sovereignty at all costs. Without that and we do not have a viable Constitution.
The global corporatists have been able to hijack and divide us into thinking it is just a piece of unimportant paper as long as they make a ton of money.
