China issues report on US human rights

BEIJING - China on Friday responded to the United States criticism and irresponsible remarks of its human rights situation by publishing its own report on the US human rights issues.

Posing as "the world judge of human rights," the US government "made arbitrary attacks and irresponsible remarks" on the human rights situation in almost 200 countries and regions again in its just-released reports, the report says.

"However, the US carefully concealed and avoided mentioning its own human rights problems," it adds. The report calls the US tapping program, code-named PRISM, which exercises long-term and vast surveillance both at home and abroad, "a blatant violation of international law" and it "seriously infringes on human rights."

The US also faces rampant gun violence, according to the report. "In 2013, 137 people died in 30 mass killings, which caused four or more deaths each, in the US." The report also cites figures to show that frequent drone strikes by the US in countries including Pakistan and Yemen have caused heavy civilian casualties. The US has carried out 376 drone strikes in Pakistan since 2004, causing deaths of up to 926 civilians, according to the report.

"The US still faces grave employment situation with its unemployment rate remained high," the report says. Rates of unemployment for the lowest-income families have topped 21 percent. The homeless population in the US kept swelling and it had climbed 16 percent from 2011 to 2013, it added.

"There are also a large amount of child laborers in the agricultural sector in the US and their physical and mental health was seriously harmed," the report says.

Are they wrong in the points they bring up?

Even though this is an obvious game they are playing and things aren’t the way they are presented, don’t we do the exact same? Don’t we poke others in the eye with often trumped up human rights issues and only when convenient for us?

We were OK with Apartheid, Saddam, the Shah of Iran, Noriega, even the Taliban when we were using them for some end that seemed worthwhile at the time. The US has lost her innocence because she has lost her moral compass. Frankly, the Chinese are right, their is no difference between us and anyone else out there, except that we might pay better and we still see ourselves as “exceptional.” We step on our own Constitution (no more rule of law), we violate what we claim to be our principals, we contradict ourselves, our morals are for sale and are often a mere show for the public with nothing to back it... What makes us any different today? The American “exceptionalism” came from a belief and value system, and that’s gone.

Just saying.

America needs to make things.

Here. In America. China is exporting far, far too much into American stores, and not importing anything from America.

We run a more than 300 billion deficit, on just over 100 billion in exports to China.

That is a ration of 400 / 100. We imported more than 400 billion from China last year.

On exports to China of just over 100 billion.

America we are being sold out.

I'm not going to say what triggered this series of events at the moment, I do however promise that I will post on it soon.

The Obama administration recently pissed off the Chinese and the Russians bad - very bad. So bad that it was the tipping point of what we see transpiring now in the Ukraine and soon to be in Southeast Asia.

This is not the Russians acting alone.

An American Expat in Southeast Asia

China is exporting far, far too much into American stores, and not importing anything from America.

One of the few profitable operations of GM is their auto sales in China. However, in order to break into the Chinese market, GM agreed to build the cars sold in China in China, using Chinese labor and I believe they even source many of the parts from Chinese manufacturers.

China is building up their military quickly.

America is tearing down our military. And all our industry.

US industry is part of the problem. They have sold out to China completely.

We need to make things right here, in America. In my opinion the reasons for that are two-fold.

First off, too much of our nation’s industry is in the control now of multi-national corporations. Who are happy to send formerly American companies overseas.

The other part of the problem is, we do nothing to keep our own industry here in America.

In my opinion we are long, long past time for import tariffs.

Perhaps big import tariffs.

We need jobs, right here in America.

Now.

Bring back US industry.

And yet, we have become like those we use to make fun of and look down upon. No one forced us into it, we did it all of our own free will, and we had a rationalization for every page we wrote in our own history book. Today, we are left as a nation lecturing others about human rights because they don’t accept homosexuals, that of course when we have a Patriot Act, FISA courts, extraordinary renditions and extraterritorial detentions, the 4th and 5th Amendments are suspended (probable cause, privacy, poison fruit- no longer matter), and we have been willing to side step our own morals and principals when a buck is involved (Hell, we supported/pushing along China’s entry into the WTO (2001) while Tienanmen square (1989) was happening)... Saudi Arabia today, Saddam, Shah, Noriega, Apartheid, the Taliban itself... Post WWII the US began to change in a very dramatic way. Whereas the US was the cause of revolutions around the world in 1776, today we help build the Saudi Arabian National Guard (which is a full time internal military force to protect the regime/royal family).

When the US talks about democracy, human rights, transparency, a rule of law, what does that mean? How do our words have any more credence than the words of the Russians or Chinese at this point? Other than having some loyalty or duty to serve this nation, besides our side paying better, how are we different today? This is a scenario not unlike the guy that says he’s a Christian, but then knowingly and unrepentantly commits horrible sins repeatedly. If he really believed, he would try to follow the law, and we as a nation don’t follow the real law anymore. There are still good people here, but when you look at our foreign or security policies, when you look at how we disregard our own Constitution, “we” have become no different than “them.”

We once had a sword in one hand, and a Bible in the other. Today we just have a sword.
