Marco Rubio: Russia is a government of 'liars'
Washington Examiner ^ | March2, 2014 | Susan Crabtree

Posted on 03/02/2014 9:05:53 AM PST by don-o

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said Russia cannot be trusted to fulfill its international commitments because their government lies on a regular basis and is “increasingly behaving like an enemy of international peace and international norms.”

Appearing on NBC's “Meet the Press,” Rubio reacted to Russia's Friday invasion of the Crimea region of Ukraine by calling the Russian government “liars” that the U.S. cannot trust.

“Let's call it what it is,” Rubio said. “They are lying – this government is a government of liars, the Russian government. You see what's happening now in Crimea. I mean, they're claiming they're not there. You've got these individuals showing up in unmarked uniforms, wearing masks, but clearly they're Russian troops, even if they refuse to acknowledge it.”

Well, he’s right, and what he should be doing is calling for a meeting of the US, the UK and Russia, who all signed an agreement guaranteeing Ukraine’s borders.

Mind you, I think the best thing might be to divide the country, since a large part of it actually is still Russian identified, particularly the Crimea. But this should be done through treaty and not through force.

Mr Rubio, may I introduce you to the American government (Mr. Pot) and the Russian government (Mr. Kettle).

Why yes, Senator, you are very astute to notice that they are both very much black.

This opinion offers some insight
https://tendancecoatesy.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/ukraine-everything-you-know-may-be-wrong/

“3. Everything you think you know about Ukraine is wrong.

Everyone looking for a proxy side to support or oppose in the Ukraine political dynamic will be disappointed. Ukraine politics go by their own rules. Today’s neoliberal ultranationalist could be tomorrow’s Kremlin ally, and visa-versa. Just look at what happened to the Orange Revolution—nothing. To wit:

a) One Orange Revolution leader, Yulia Tymoshenko, wound up turning against her partner Viktor Yushchenko and allying with Yanukovych to strip Yushchenko of presidential powers; later, Tymoshenko allied with the Kremlin against Yushchenko; now she’s free from jail and the presumptive leader of the anti-Yanukovych forces.

b) The other Orange leader—the pro-EU, anti-Kremlin Viktor Yushchenko—wound up allying with pro-Kremlin Yanukovych to jail Yulia Tymoshenko.

c) John McCain has been the big driving force for regime change against Yanukovych, but McCain’s 2008 campaign chief’s lobby firm, Davis Manafort, managed Yanukovych’s political campaigns and his lobbying efforts in the US.

d) Anthony Podesta, brother of President Obama’s senior advisor John Podesta, is anotherYanukovych lobbyist; John Podesta was the chief of Obama’s 2008 transition team..”

I don't disagree with you about dividing the country. But I would be more specific about your statement that "a large part of it is actually Russian identified...".

According to a 2001 Ukraine census 78.1 identify their ethnicity as "Ukrainian" while 17.3 percent identify their ethnicity as Russian.

Marco is still running from his illegal immigration Gang of eight boondoggle. Trying to act like someone of relevance.

Marco, McCain, and Graham have caused almost as much, if not more, damage to the US then obummer and his band of idiots.
