Things could get mighty dicey in the coming days.

China looks to be the big winner. Obama sent a pretty clear signal to Japan and Taiwan that they're on their own. And while Putin's attention is way to the west, China just might decide that the time is ripe to "take back" the Russian Far East that the Manchu emperors ceded to the Russian Czars in the 19th century.
