And The Person Who Foresaw It All Is…
Haaretz Daily ^ | March 1, 2014

The was a time when everyone loved making fun of GOP vice presidential canidate Sarah Palin. It’s her turn to get the final laugh.

As CBS recounts, in October 2008, after Russia’s invasion of neighboring Georgia emerged as a foreign policy flashpoint in the homestretch of a heated campaign, Palin told an audience in Nevada, “After the Russian army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”

Just as amusing was the response to Palin’s comments by foreign policy experts, Foreign Policy magazine, which said, “As we’ve said before, this is an extremely far-fetched scenario. And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraine’s pro-Western government without firing a shot, I don’t see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel.”

Coming just a few months after subprime turned out not to be contained despite everyone’s fervent belief that it was, this is not all that surprising.

And now it’s time to gloat: “I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as ‘an extremely far-fetched scenario’ by the ‘high-brow’ Foreign Policy magazine,” Palin wrote Friday.

“Here’s what this ‘stupid,’ ‘insipid woman’ predicted in 2008,” she added, before rehashing her prediction.

Talk radio host Mark Levin tweeted, “Palin not only knows where Russia is, but she knew what Putin would do to Ukraine with Obama as president.”

Then again, back in 2008 a lot of people were also talking about hope and change. Five years later people have to look up the definition of hope, as for change, the best place to find it is in the 11 million people who have dropped out of the labor force in that time.

She is considered unelectable at this point

Only by the lemmings and fools that need the media to tell them good from bad. The same media that fawns over Hillary Clinton. So presumably, according to you, Hillary is very ‘electable’ and therefore has Thatcheresque speech. Please tell me just what you applaud about the way the shrill hag Hillary SPEAKS? And exactly how does it differ from the way Sarah speaks?

And they comprise what percentage of the American electorate?

So according to me Hillary is "electable"?

Talk about a loose cannon...you are a wobbly dude.

And you ask me to tell you what it is about Hillary that I applaud?

Hillary?

When did I ever mention Hillary?

Just once...when did I mention Hillary?

Well, except in this comment?

Are you standing up at City Council meetings when they are deciding to take a CROSS out of the City Seal because of the ACLU (anti-Christians LOVE us)?

Fine. I'll take your word that Mrs. Thatcher did some work with someone who worked with her on the tom-ay-to / tom-ah-to thing, which might be important in Great Britain, but that ain't what any speech therapist I'm married to does for a living.

Besides, suppose that Sarah showed up someday with a new, perkier hairdo and talking like JF'nK... (he served in Vietnam, you know...)

Wouldn't she get branded as a poseur?

Palin has been smart enough to keep her name out there while still managing to stay in the background. She’s smart enough to know that if she put herself out there as a candidate for 2016, the media would spend their time trying to tear her down and ignoring all the other candidates.

Sarah has mad it clear that she is focused on 2014 elections. If they go well, that puts her in a position, if she were decide, to step forward for 2016.

She’s also pragmatic. She knows that the big GOP donors are not available to her because she can’t be bought. None of these donors give money to a candidate for altruistic reasons. They want a return on their money and they won’t get it with Sarah. If she were to decide to run in 2016, she’d have to raise at least $800 million from individual donors and that’s a tough task.

Your comment about needing a focused and realistic advisor shows that you really don’t understand what she has accomplished with nothing much more than her FB platform. It is rare that one of her FB posts doesn’t result in at least 5-7 articles about what she posted. Many of the so-called “conservative” sites like Hot Air and National Review try their best to minimize her, but they have made her stronger, not weaker. She reaches millions of people just by posting anything on FB. So far, her advisors have out-performed the advisors of any of the “really, really smart” GOP dopes.

Perhaps you need to review Palin’s Social, Economic, And International Political Positions; http://palin4president2016.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/sarah-palins-social-economic-and.html
and review her FB posts; http://sarahpalininformation.wordpress.com/sarah-palin-on-facebook/sarah-palin-facebook-notes/
Name me one prospective candidate/politician with a more comprehensive approach to the issues that are important to the “little people”.

Over the next few months, every appearance and every speech she gives in support of a 2014 candidate will also give her a chance to rehabilitate her as a viable candidate for 2016. She knows her enemies are the left, the media and the GOPe and she’ll use these opportunities to get her message to the people.

What gauge did you use to decide Sarah Palin is not electable?
What does that gauge say about Hillary Clinton's electability?

As a person from fly over country I like her accent and speech pattern. She is not a conceited ivy league moron. She is plain spoken in message and that is enough. I am fed up with double talking, soft soaping liars.

I don’t know what you’re smokin, but I’d sure love some of that. Palin’s problem is the Rinos and Karl Rove, they have millions to blow on every Rino campaign. Sarah talks to her constituents live, Rove floods the media airways.
