We rented the film the other night. Special FXs were stunning. Bullock delivered a great performance. Soundtrack was good. Clowney was...well, Clowney (one of the most overrated actors in the business). There’s a good reason why I rarely spend my hard earned cash at the theaters. The film is a perfect example. As a whole, Gravity wasn’t worth my time.

Agree, she looks amazing & doesn’t seem like she’s caught up in the
elite, liberal BS. Could be wrong..

Gravity was exaggerated. It wasn’t anything special except for the special effects.

Lone Survivor was great, best action movie in years and a wonderful tribute to our troops. 12 Years a Slave good movie too, really liked it, great drama and really captures the feel of a different time, like going in time machine. Its a pity we can’t have a more fair competition at the Oscars.

Anyone else bothered that the Lupita woman weigh 80 lbs, looks east African, and in no way resembles a typical woman slave who would be strong enough to work in the fields?...and would be from west africa?

As a disaster/action flick I thought it was pretty good.

I didn’t see any of the movies nominated..didn’t really care for any of them so could have cared less who won best picture..

the only highlight of the night was seeing Matthew McConaughey thank God during his acceptance speech and hear nothing but silence from the audience..

that is all I needed to know about the douche bags in the audience..nothing but liberal douches.

Sterling moment!

I hope Matthew McConaughey realizes he's surrounded by worthless SOBs and POS witches.

So The Hobbit didn’t win anything (waiting for all 3 to be out?), and Ender’s Game wasn’t nominated for anything.

That should be a clue to Gavin Hood to leave film.

Actually, slavery movies are pretty few and far between. Not exactly a feel good subject. I am not counting Django.

Wish Bullock would’ve won, but overall I can’t complain. Gravity won 7 out of 10 it was nominated in and that was my favorite. I’m surprised it won over slave for director. Was a decent night for what won I thought. Haven’t seen slave yet though.

Someone I know who saw it said the special effects were great. Which was the only thing about the movie worth watching.

Yep it was nothing but silence..actually I take that back I think I heard one person clap..also seeing all those Libs eat pizza and when Ellen asked someone, anyone in the audience to flip the bill no one offered..of course not, Libs are about spending other peoples money never their own, socialist a-holes

There were three thank you God’s tonight. Darlene Love gave a rousing gospel song verse and I forget the third one. Love took everybody to church for a brief moment.

Must have been a record for the Oscars,

My list of movies is weird. I did not see Gravity.

I saw The Hobbit. The Hunger Games. Enders Game. The Lego Movie. Warm Bodies, that was a pretty good movie. The Host — not a good movie. Lone Survivor — Great movie, but hard to watch because I knew real people died. Much Ado about Nothing — I sadly love everything Joss Whedon does. Sharknado — ok, that was a TV movie.

I see a lot more movies when they give me free weekend HBO or Showtime, and we buy some movies we don’t see in theatres. But I am so detached from the Oscars, as I don’t watch those movies and I don’t care if movies I do watch win awards, I just want to enjoy a movie, it’s not like I’m “invested”.

Hollywood is full of creepy people. When Larry David can piss on Jesus, and Sara Silverman can say “I’d kill Jesus again,” and do it with impunity, you know you are dealing with scum.

Could someone start a thread for people who

Haven’t been to a movie in 15 years

Haven’t watched the Oscars since Bob Hope died.

Want to just come along to say they didn’t see it, but ask a question about what some movie won.

A sure that Hollywood will be destroyed by fire and brimstone during a future Oscar event.

Comment on movies they haven’t seen

Or are just too bored to care
