Germanys Chancellor Angela Merkel is reported to have become really annoyed about Russian President Vladimir Putin and has questioned whether he was still in touch with reality.
The German mass circulation Bild newspaper wrote on Monday that during a telephone conversation she held with US President Barack Obama to discuss the growing crisis in Ukraine she complained that Mr Putin was living in another world.
She appears to have become really annoyed, Bild remarked. The paper said it had gained inside information on the telephone exchange between the US and German leaders from American sources.
The two leaders roundly criticised Mr Putin in their conversation and agreed that Russias military intervention in Crimea was in violation of international law. A German government spokesman said that both stressed that it was important for the international community to respond to the crisis in unison.
Both were said to be in favour of sending an immediate fact finding mission to Ukraine and backed the idea of setting up of a contact group, possibly overseen by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, with the aim of ending the crisis through political dialogue.

Obviously the US Oligarchs and Euro Kleptocrats had absolutely no contingency plans in place in case Russia decided to protect the Crimea. Utter fools. You have to anticipate every possible move in diplomatic chess.
Merkel and 0bama are the ones out of touch with reality
Uh, Ma'am? This is political dialogue. Nothing makes a diplomatic point clearer than troops on the ground.
“...respond to the crisis in unison” Whoa! Talking tough.
Next sentence, “Both were said to be in favour of sending an immediate fact finding mission to Ukraine and backed the idea of setting up of a contact group.”
I can here Putin saying, “Vut ish contact group? I vunder vut contact vill group smellz like vin I bombz zem.”
It seems Obama and the rest of the West are the ones out of touch with reality.
Germany is worried.
This is bad.
Putin seems to understand the saying “speak softly and carry a big stick”.
Obama: Oh I know about holding lots of those!
No, idiot, I said STICK.
They havent lost touch of anything. They dont want NATO bases in Crimea.
Can’t fault them for that.
Ask the NSA to check his calls, Angela.
LOL! Thanks for the pics. Wuzzzat some EU gang gestures?
We will soon reap what we have sown for electing the Kenyan communist.
Germany is worried.
This is bad.
You are correct....Don’t ask how i know.
In fact, he should care. The Russian economy will suffer because of it. Russian GDP had dropped 30% already. The Ruble is going down. Today, the Russian martkets lost >10% of value. The Russian economy cannot withstand occupation, sanctions and feeding hungry Crimeans and East Ukrainians (Russian-speaking population). It is similar to Georgia/Abhasia/Ossetia situation, only multiplied by a 100. Not all Russians agree with Putin on that. There were anti-war rallies in Moscow and St. Petersburg ruthlessly suppressed by the Police. Not all Russians want to fight Ukranians, who fought side by side with them against Hitler. Russia should not follow Zhirinovsky path to hell.
Obama and the EU thought this was a new world—a Global World where social justice and global warming were the most important things. Putin has just shown them—its the same old world—Power politics rule—has they have since the 18th Century. The 1980s called Obama and he never took the call. Lets just hope Putin doesn’t just roll over the Ukraine and keep going. Let him digest Criemea for a while.
I was hoping I was wrong.
“How many divisions does Frau Merkel have”?
IT'S THE WESTERN LEADERS WHO ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY!
I think the Pax Americana may be over. Maybe we could send Putin some food stamps.
