Two of the changes "will grant tribal access to NICS and authorize law enforcement agencies to use the system to run full background system checks before returning guns that have been seized or confiscated during the course of investigations." "Tribal access"?

I HAD all the guns I wanted - But then came that tragic day in the second week of November 2008, when my
entire firearms collection was lost during a bizarre boating incident in one of the deepest parts of the Chesapeake Bay.
To date, none have been recovered...

Foreign leaders screw Obama ... and
he (like the 3 stooges) turns around and slaps
the American people and the useless, hated, EXEMPT Congress.Like the guy who gets chewed out at work for being a no-account foul-up and then goes home and beats his wife and kicks his dog.

I’m a Life Member of the AMA (the motorcyclists, not the doctors); but only because they award it to you after 25 years of paid membership.
I agree with you about buying life memberships ‘up-front’, though.

Mr. Limbaugh has some sort of truth noted about liberalism having the exact opposite of its’ intended outcome. Wouldn’t be surprised to find that gun ownership has dramatically increased under the current regime.
I’m certainly inspired... I’ll be buying a new rifle or handgun in the weeks ahead.

I can’t wait for the conservative president. I want the first rule to be an EO that abolished abortion in all 50 states. Number two immediately release an EO that makes all takes 15 percent from the poorest American to the wealthiest. No EIC, no exemptions, no child credit. Everyone pays 15 percent period. I sure have dreams don’t I.

I taught constitutional law for ten years. I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that were facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and thats what I intend to reverse when Im President of the United States of America.

In my opinion, no. The new regulations are, according to the Hill:
1) will grant tribal police access to NICS;
2) authorize law enforcement agencies to use the system to run full background checks before returning guns that have been seized or confiscated during the course of investigations;
3) involves consolidated, electronic storage of information on gun purchases that have been denied via the NICS system.

While I can see potential for abuse, especially considering this WH and the Holder DOJ, 1 and 2 seem like common sense.
And yes, I’m a gun owner and NRA member. But I still don’t see what this has to do with Sandy Hook, which none of these regulations would have remotely prevented.

Sloppy reporting. They mean tribal police will have access to the NICS database.

Look, it is an executive order, which means it isn’t worth the paper it is printed on.
It is time the American people took Executive Action on 0bama’s little tyrannical hissy-fits.
Dear DOJ,
We will not comply with illegal orders from anyone.

The three changes are as follows:
* Grant tribal police access to NICS;
* Authorize law enforcement agencies to use NICS to run full background checks before returning guns that have been seized or confiscated during the course of investigations.
* Consolidated, electronic storage of information on gun purchases that have been denied via the NICS system.

Thanks. I figured that was probably what it meant, but it definitely appeared incongruous alongside the rest of the poorly reported story, especially since absolutely no explanation was given at all as to what it meant.

Congress appears to be morphing into little more than a customer advisory panel to the CEO.
