Fox News host Bill O'Reilly has waged a bet with liberal commentator James Carville that Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana will lose her seat in November, the New Orleans Times Picayune reports

O’Reilly said on his show that the Democrats would relinquish their Senate majority in the midterm elections, and he cited Landrieu as one of the incumbents who would be trounced by Republicans.

"She better be looking for another job," the outspoken conservative critic said of the three-term senator. “She's out."

She even attacked President Barack Obama in a campaign ad for failing to live up to his promise that people could keep their current insurance plans and their doctors under the healthcare reform law.

Ahem - SHE promised that.

We can only hope this commie is thrown out, but everyone knows about the mysterious occurrences out in the bayou cemeteries where the dead rise for one night an election year and head to the polls.

I’d say Carville needs to make sure his gold card is in working order

Uh, O’Reilly isn’t conservative. Ornery, loud and contrary, yes, but not conservative.

“what are the chances of this witch suffering a defeat?”

I bet in some (Strategic) precincts the Party affiliations will be switched “accidentally” with Landrieu’s name being the Republican candidate.

About 90% or better, my guess.

Just wish we had a real conservative going up against her, but will probably wind up with Rino Cassidy.

“outspoken conservative critic”?? Only in the sense that O’reilly constantly bashes conservatives. Anybody catch him sucking up to Bob Costas?

Could it be that by saying "conservative critic", that they mean he criticizes conservatives? See, it's all in the way you read it.

I pray to God that would happen. It’s an unusual Primary in LA. All the candidates, regardless of Party affiliation, are on the same ballot. Top two vote-getters are in the run-off; even if it’s two Democrats or two Republicans. Intelligent, Conservative voters know what’s going on. The ignorant, uninformed ‘Rat voters out of New Orleans would NOT pull the lever for a Republican. It would be the death knell for her.
