KSTP/SURVEYUSA POLL: Franken Leads GOP Challengers
KSTP ^ | 3-3-14 | Tom Hauser

Posted on 03/03/2014 9:14:34 PM PST by TurboZamboni

In 2008, Al Franken won a hard-fought race with incumbent Senator Norm Coleman, but he had to be patient. The race resulted in a recount that lasted seven months. When the ballots cleared inspection, Franken was declared the winner by 312 votes.

Fast forward to 2014 and Franken's lead in our exclusive new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll isn't nearly that close, but for the incumbent it might be too close for comfort.

Franken's lead over his two closest potential GOP challengers is eight points. He leads state Senator Julianne Ortman and St. Louis County Commissioner Chris Dahlberg by identical 49 percent to 41 percent margins. Businessman Mike McFadden, the leading fundraiser among GOP candidates, trails Franken by 50 percent to 40 percent.

B) They’ll cheat whatever

C) McFadden is unacceptable. REJECT HIM.

This is why the former Governor (and Franken’s intolerably soft Senate opponent) should be forever castigated for his epic failures during the recount, where Franken stole the election.

It is so friggin’ hard to oust incumbent Democrats in the Senate, unless they are in red states. Every time they steal a seat, its a possible lifetime appointment.

The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

But would they have sent him in the first place?

Repeal the 17th!

Both Senators from Minnesota are Communist moonbats. If not Franken, they would’ve sent a Klobuchar clone or Congressman Keef X. Repeal of the 17th only assures no Republican ever wins again in a Democrat state and assures establishment RINOs win in a Republican ones — that means no Ted Cruzes or Mike Lees. Epic fail.

not bad. the lead is the same no matter who he goes against. One challenger and it should tighten considerably.

How could they not vote for Reagan in '84? Brainfreeze, maybe?

Actually, a little effort could’ve put MN into Reagan’s column, but rumor has it that he didn’t want to thoroughly humiliate Mondale.

He doesn’t need them. He is 50 percent which for an incumbent is pretty safe. I don’t believe we never considered this seat in our quest to win the Senate. Overall we new we didn’t have a chance winning this seat.

If we can’t find a decent candidate who can beat Franken, we are in serious trouble.

Basic rule of politics in blue states. Republicans have to win by at least 4% to make up for demo fraud.

This is how they will cheat. They will say these are horse races and then they will drag out fake votes.
