Discussion Thread: Texas Primary Today (3-4-14) ..first hand reports, observations, comments..
one man's opinion...

Posted on 03/04/2014 7:00:48 AM PST by ken5050

I was hoping one of the Texas FReepers would start a thread, but didn't see one. The Texas primary is today..several interesting races, but the BIG ONE involves Cornyn. When you vote...let us know what you heard/saw? What's the weather like down there?

Our Republican county judge candidate who died, almost beat the Democrat candidate in that election.

The friends of your deceased county judge will vote for him out of friendship for him.

Dewhurst is looking poorly - about 44,000 out of 166,000. Dan Patrick has nearly twice that. 1.22% counted so far.

The Democratic Party is happy the extension of voting hours and hopes everyone will get out and vote if they have not done so already, and reminds voters they can vote at any election polling location that is convenient for them.”

Which won't help them a whit -- as there isn't a single Democrat which is electable in any state-wide race.

Sam Houston is running for Attorney General..Catchy name, eh?

BTW, I have no idea who SECEDE Kilgore is in the Republican Primary's Governor's Race.

Both Stockman and Stovall trending up. Remember, early votes get counted first. RAT crossovers were more likely to cross-over early.

ObamaCare repeal might get someone's attention if this keeps up: 168,811 yes, repeal; 12,355 no, don't

This is tricky. Cornyn’s base surely knows he avoided attacking zerocare at every opportunity?

95% for drug testing welfare recipients, and 99% that elected officials and staff have to live with the same laws we plebes do.

I'm loving that.

Early returns have Davis some 75,000 behind Abbott; she is bringing out the “sheaves”.

I saw Cornball with 64 percent in early returns; I had initially predicted 65 percent for him. People in TX can’t get enough Cornball, but no one knows why.
