Discussion Thread: Texas Primary Today (3-4-14) ..first hand reports, observations, comments..
one man's opinion...

Posted on 03/04/2014 7:00:48 AM PST by ken5050

I was hoping one of the Texas FReepers would start a thread, but didn't see one. The Texas primary is today..several interesting races, but the BIG ONE involves Cornyn. When you vote...let us know what you heard/saw? What's the weather like down there?

>>Cornyn will win in a landslide<<

You can ping me later. Cornyn will be in a runoff in May. Hopefully we can primary his sorry @$$ right out of office today.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if Kevin Brady had the door pop him in his rear on the way out as well.

Thank you for your service to our country.

Anybody But Cornyn.

We’ll settle on one person later- just force the run-off now.

I early voted last week. No line (I went to a different polling center than where I normally early vote which almost ALWAYS has a line). There was a steady flow of people though.

It’s a rich Democrat area but my friend and I voted in the GOP primary without any stares.

I took a look at the Democrat ballot while waiting for my friend to finish. They don’t have as many challengers for the major offices (and no incumbents, natch).

I wonder if the LaRouchian woman is going to get the Democrat Senate nomination.

Cold and wet in Houston (near freezing at 7am).

It was in the 70s 2 days ago.

What about the LaRouchian Democrat running for the Senate? It’s the year of the woman...

Besides voting in the Democrat primary would be payback for those Democrats who voted for McCain in the 2000 GOP primary and McCain in the 2008 primary. Some of his own staffers left him for the Obama camp after he secured the GOP nomination.

I’ve heard Dan Patrick on the radio for many years (although not as much in recent years, I don’t listen to 700AM much anymore).

He’s supported nannystate laws and taken other positions I can’t back.

I don’t want to see him advance his political power.

Are you for George P., who apparently is backed by everyone or nearly so?

Haven’t heard anyone say anything about Trust Fund baby Bush that was positive up north. I suspect that his appeal depends of is you live near Bush central or not.

I early voted early. About 7 machines and only 3 had users.

Weather caused accidents on the I35 autobahn so going was slow. It should warm up to the 40’s today, so that might bring out more voters.

Cornhole needs the votes of city folks, so I don’t think the weather will affect the vote to much in the cities.

I thought I caught a glimpse of a purple purse on his arm— you know, the one with that white flag of surrender hanging out. He drags that thing around everywhere he goes.

Certainly it’s become apparent there’s no Alamo in this guy.

I'm done with the Bushes for awhile...I pulled-down for Watts.

This little Bush is dodging (and arrogant on) the issues and running on his name and race.

The more votes Abortion Barbie gets the more Liberal MONEY they will suck out of the NE and Hollywood Machine (Battleground Texas also).

If Dewhurst can avoid answering questions about Abortion and/or Rape Barbie doesn’t have a chance.

Anyone know anything about Elisha Chan who is running for State Senator against Donna Campbell (other than the wiki page and her web site)

ABC-Anyone But Cornyn

The strange thing is, if you read up on Kesha Rogers, she’d probably be better for us than Cornyn. She hates zero and speaks at TEA rallies.

Wendy Davis is not on the Republican ballot - she is Democrat.

My understanding (dating from my experiences from the 1980s) is that Lyndon LaRouche and his followers don’t side with the 68 Revolution red diaper doper baby Democrats (who run things now, such as Barack Obama). They are pre-68 Democrats (who fall for a whole range of conspiracy theories).

She may be again’ Obama but that doesn’t mean she is in agreement.

Ted Rall was for Bill Clinton’s impeachment over perjury. He though Al Gore would be an improvement in getting his agenda items.
