Discussion Thread: Texas Primary Today (3-4-14) ..first hand reports, observations, comments..
one man's opinion...

Posted on 03/04/2014 7:00:48 AM PST by ken5050

I was hoping one of the Texas FReepers would start a thread, but didn't see one. The Texas primary is today..several interesting races, but the BIG ONE involves Cornyn. When you vote...let us know what you heard/saw? What's the weather like down there?

Troll. I encourage everyone to read your posting history.

I expect Cornyn will face a run-off, with his downward spiral in the polls in the last 2 weeks.

I wonder if any San Antonians are following the polling of Beebe v. Strauss?

I personally don’t know of ONE person who’s voted for Jorge Booosh.”

I was at a dinner Saturday evening which was attended by a lot of local politicians. Wife of one of the candidates for County Commissioner was wearing a Vote for George P. button. We had quite a discussion about why she would vote for him and she said because she “liked the Bush family”. The fact that he was totally unqualified for the position made no difference to her. Amazes me more than anything because she is the wife of one of our County candidates.

Cornyn will win in a landslide.

I haven't seen a single corn hole sign or bumper sticker in my precinct. All my neighbors are voting against him. I went on the first day of early voting to cast my vote against him.

You working with the GOPe and the dems on that?

‘Windy’ Davis is a Rhode Island carpetbagger.

It AMAZES me how many people in a given state will vote for a 'carpetbagger' at the state and local levels...can't find a native-born citizen to get the job done..?

Fingers crossed... if things start looking good I’ll be at the store buying that Flat Creek Almond Champagne later.

Stuff is amazing.

Great question...he/she is also a cheerleader for RINO Midge McConnell, too...all while jumping in to bash Ted Cruz. Hmmmmm.

That doesn’t surprise me. There is definitely a good ol’ boy network, in these parts, that always seem to support the GOPe/RINO crowd. They all love Pete Olson, too.

It’s a local winery - Lake Travis - and this champagne is jaw-dropping. About $16.

My stomach is in knots... Please, Lord, hear our prayers.

That’s because Olson is a former Cornball employee.

People just vote for familiar names. If they were voting for ketchup, Heinz would defeat the HEB brand every time.

**Yum, almond champagne..local one out here in CA is Wilson Creek, really good.
Watching closely from West coast - vote Cornhole out of there!

Yes, Olson is a Cornball crony. He’s learned well from his former boss...just play like you’re a conservative during campaign season.
