Ukraines Navy Slavutych crew prevented the capture attempt by armed persons.
Armed persons in a boat came to the ship but the crew repelled their attack. There was even the attempt to board the ship, capture her, arms, and sailors, informed Capt. 2nd Rank Vitaliy Zvyahintsev, Commander of Surface Ships Brigade, Ukraines Navy.
Now, the ships of the Russian Federation Black Sea Fleet continue blocking the Ukrainian Navy ships in Crimea.
All the military units and ships of the Ukrainian Armed forces deployed in Crimea follow the orders of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
You'll note the release is in ENGLISH? I wonder who that is meant for?
“Pirates of the Black Sea”
OH OH now getting serious
Now things are starting to get interesting. I fear this could be the match to start the fuse of WW III.
Can’t really believe anything either side is saying right now.
You don’t take over a ship with a boat.
Looks like disinformation.
What language would you prefer? Russian—in order to inform them that they or their minion tried to seize the ship?
“You dont take over a ship with a boat. Looks like disinformation.”
It’s a Civil War. The sides are still breaking down, and people are still trying to be non-violent.
Eventually, it won’t be.
Don't say that to Captain Phillips.
To answer you, I’ll tell you they put it in English so the French can understand it. But you can quit wondering why when you get a higher IQ. That’s why BBC does shows in English.
Uncalled for and insulting.
Yah, I would argue that the presumption is rather strong that a press release in English is intended for an English-speaking audience.
Truth is the first casualty of war...................
Russian Black Sea Piracy on display.
Their soldiers don’t wear identification and are illegal combatants per Geneva Convention and international law. So it comes as no surprise their sailors also mask their actions in the guise of common piracy.
Putin’s aggression and his supporters apologias are like that.
Armed persons in a boat came to the ship but the crew repelled their attack.
It says they had a ship. Look again!
It’s rude and insulting to provide news about Soviet (oops, Putinista) aggression in English.
Ahh grasshopper, learn to go to source of BBC article as per your posted link. Or look at html source which includes language selection. End of mystery, yes?
Ukrainian Navy vessel Slavutych
I could be, and often am wrong.
He had a similar exchange with me on another thread.
Natural nasty personality or ?
What other language should a BBC report use, latin?
Feel free to blow it out of the orifice of your choice....
Noting the release is targeted at an English-speaking audience (The White House and US Media, in particular) isn’t being a “Putin apologist”.
Get over yourself.
Yes, you’re correct. The US White House and the US Media speak English. It’s not often notices. Very sly of the BBC though to uses that slick technique to sway them. You’re on to something comrade. Keep up the good work, and may President-for-Life Putin Bless you.
Or the U.S.S. Cole!
Nasty? Me? What’re you trying to create a band of nitwit pro-Putinistas? What language does the BBC speak? God Lord, what a nasty think to mock.
You’re a real hateful piece of work, eh?
When is break-time in that Soros-funded boiler room, anyway?
i just saw "Captain Phillips" ... i think you can
Again, I am against Putin, Soros, and Obama. I am a piece of work only in the sense that I have worked all my life to pay my way and have worked all my life to understand tyranny. I’m kind of like Eric Hoffer but not as eloquent. So I’ll never champion a tyrant as you do. And, I accept that you, as a foreigner (or as a lowbrow nitwit or whatever you are that makes you so confuse despite your claims that you are a conservative) don’t understand what Putin is doing. And you think that the BBC is being nefarious when it speaks English. My advice to you is to work on the BBC mystery and get back to us with your other insights.
“So Ill never champion a tyrant as you do.”
Noting a release is directed at an English audience is “Championing a tyrant”????? And save the insults, kid.
I think we’re done here.
Let’s hope you’re done. What time do you go back to class? Noting the BBC release NEWS in English was stunningly brilliant. With that one gem you detected the anti-Putin propaganda that’s been so unfairly used against him. Now, if the BBC starts broadcasting to the USA in say pidgen English we’d think things are normal.
Dude, you are one angry shill. Find someone else to troll, eh?
I was referring to your rude nastiness, not the content on this thread.
Have fun stewing in your own bile.
I took it that the release was from the Ukranian Navy and was in english. As much as obama wishes that America was not a Super Power - it is. That is why the protestors had hand made signs in english, the navy puts out releases in english, and Russia will put out its reply in english as well. Some are prompts of “Hey - a little help?”. Putin’s will be a “So what are ya’ going to do about it”.
And what WILL we do about it?
The way obama does things it is all very scattered and to fix the latest emergency. That is very intentional I believe (see the link in my tagline - FDR did the same thing).
And while that may work to get his crisis-of-the-day into the news so he can “fix” it, it does not lend itself to good foreign policy.
“Eh?” Does the BBC use that expression?
Russian black ops?
The snotty tone is unnecessary and unbecoming.
bbc has this as breaking news, as well.
You’ll note the release is in ENGLISH? I wonder who that is meant for?
And the pro-Putin apologias are so very becoming. Better a snotty tone than a tyrant’s lackey for Obama, Soros, or Putin.
there’s a dark moon arisin
Do you think boarding parties use aircraft carrier size ships to board other ships....?
You'll note the release is in ENGLISH? I wonder who that is meant for?So, I'm curious, who do you think the press release is meant for? George Soros?
And the pro-Putin apologias are so very becoming. Better a snotty tone than a tyrants lackey for Obama, Soros, or Putin.
You’re a real dickhead.
That’s clever and probably something you want.
