Having worked in the media for over a decade, allow me to assure you that as stupid as you think these people are, it’s far worse than you imagine.

Hey....we do this all the time.

We do NOT launch ICBMs to influence a particular negotiation or situation. Not too damn often, anyway.

Apologias are flying off the shelf for Putin. It’s as if the good people of FreeRepublic decided to act like the American Left has for years by praising foreign tyrants who make problems for a president that is of the opposite party.

Not only is Putin in obama’s face, he is rubbing his boot in it.

What a sorry situation for America!

We just threaten to break treaties, pull funding and a million other far more damaging things than a test launch. See Honduras and Uganda for two recent examples. And of course Lybia, Syria and Egypt.. (Not that I’m for a lot of our foreign aid to begin with.)

When Hillary came up with that “Reset” button, she must have meant we’ll get to rebuild our cities from the ground up after a Russian nuclear attack.

“as stupid as you think these people are, it’s far worse than you imagine.”

Considering this crowd can imagine amazing levels of stupidity....I won’t be sleeping at night.

Are we supposed to praise our own stupidity instead? Because our own stupidity led directly to Putin doing what he is doing.

Should I mention the lib reporter who argued in a filled newsroom that 1=1 does not always have to equal two, used quantum mechanics to justify it, then went on to work for an east coast politician?

Many reporters think and act like they’re experts in everything (e.g., foreign affairs, the economy, weather, sports, entertainment, etc.). People like that are a mile wide and an inch deep.

Accepting lesser evils in DC has consequences. We are now living them. If we have a future remaining, we might want to reassess that plan of action.

Oh most certainly. The level of unwarranted arrogance in a newsroom puts a Hollywood party to shame. They are convinced the public is retarded. Literally. No exaggeration. And that their access to the unedited AP wire gives them knowledge and wisdom to guide the unwashed masses.

There are several former newsies here on FR. They will all tell you exactly that.
