"Lies" are what Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calls the television ads complaining about Obamacare. But the people in those ads are not liars. They have pre-existing conditions and can't see the specialists or get the medications they need. They're the people President Barack Obama claimed he would help, but instead they're getting hurt.
They had insurance, but their plans got canceled because of the Affordable Care Act, forcing them into Obamacare. Now they're discovering that Obamacare plans are not for sick people. They offer "free" mammograms, "free" colonoscopies and "free" contraceptives, meaning there is no copay. But if you have cancer, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease, you're in trouble. Most plans skimp on specialists and life-saving medications.
Dr. Jeffrey English, a Georgia neurologist who treats patients with advanced MS, worries that patients who switched to exchange plans will deteriorate rapidly. Some plans refuse to cover six out of the 10 drugs that can treat MS, including drugs most effective at staving off irreversible paralysis.
"Obamacare is a throwback to the old HMO model of the 1990s, which promised a broad package of coverage for primary-care benefits like vaccines and routine doctor visits. But to pay for these benefits, the Obamacare plans skimp on other things, principally the number of doctors you'll have access to and also the number of costlier-branded drugs," explains Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a practicing physician and fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
Bells and whistles, but inadequate access to care. Like a car with leather seats and Bose speakers, but a lousy engine.

Governor Palin warned of Death Panels and was roundly criticized for her "absurd" view, just as she was criticized for warning that Obama's weakness would bring back Cold War conflict with Russia. I hope her family obligations and our support will allow her to run in 2016 and win. She's the best hope I can see for restoring freedom and saving the lives of those endangered by ObamaCare.

Harry Reid knows he untouchable until 2016. He can say whatever he wants, and it deflects attention off his Lord and Master Obama, who continues to destroy America (the way Democrats want to).
A friend of mine is living the exact scenario described so often: lost his policy, couldn’t get in touch, finally got in touch, was told he would be put on Obamacare Medicaid, was okay with that till he realized they eventually grab your wealth to pay for it, got over that, now lost his doctor whom he’s been going to for decades and the new doc is a foreigner who doesn’t communicate that well.
What next? Whatever it is, he’ll probably lie about that too, Harry.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend, there’s been a number of incidents like that posted here at FR that I’ve read.
20 or more years ago if someone related a story like these I’d have said they’re nuts, unfortunately it’s all too common now and criminal in my view.
