Barbara Bush relents a bit on 2016: ‘Maybe it’s ok’ if another Bush run
The Washington Post ^ | 03-05-2014 | Jaime Fuller

Posted on 03/05/2014 8:09:11 AM PST by PaulCruz2016

Former first lady Barbara Bush sat down with Fox News for an interview at her home in Houston, Texas that aired on Wednesday. After stating for over a year that she thinks the Bush family should stay out of presidential politics, she said "maybe it's ok" if another Bush runs in 2016.

When did the Bush family become the presidential standard in this country? They were never anything more than typical east coast elitists turned politicians with mediocre bureaucratic skills?

good God!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I am getting flashbacks of the run-up to the 2012 election with Jeb Bush playing the part of Romney and Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio playing the parts of Bachman and Santorum.

Jeb Bush (much like Romney was in 2012) the ONLY person we are absolutely 100% certain to lose with. Because in all likelihood Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee, and her BIGGEST obstacle will be that she's from the past. A Bush running against her would completely nullify that and make the race a referendum on which presidency was better George W Bush or Bill Clinton, and Bush will lose that race every time.

Romney was the ABSOLUTE worst candidate we could of run 2012 because of how he nullified what would have been our strongest asset (opposition to Obamacare). I hope the GOP doesn't make the same mistake again by pushing Jeb on us.

Why, you'd almost think that the United States is an oligarchy, with just a few criminal families playing musical chairs with the top spot.

Oligarchy! Like Bob Grant used to say: We are slipping and sliding into third worldism. No more Bushes, Clintons or Obamas!

We can have a Bush lose to a Clinton in 2016 and then Clinton can lose to an Obama (Michelle) in 2020. Then we'd have 30 years of presidential politics going this way:

1992: Clinton beats Bush
1996: Clinton beats Dole
2000: Bush beats Gore
2004: Bush beats Kerry
2008: Obama beats Clinton then beats McCain
2012: Obama beats Romney
2016: Clinton beats Bush
2020: Obama beats Clinton

I wish she would quit lying and playing politics. She wants the political dynasty to continue more than anyone with the possible exception of her George HW.

My contention was and still is that Romney was a placeholder for the next guy in the Bush dynasty, although I actually think he wanted to win, unlike Juan McCain.

The Bush dynasty is gambling that another Bush is going to look pretty good after eight years of BO. They may be right save for the fact that we are going to have an even stupider electorate in 2016 than 2012.

Jeb Bush asked others to save Terri Schiavo from murderers.

But when they all refused, and it was his duty to act, he chickened out.

He was the GOVERNOR of Florida, and he let murderers kill one of his citizens, in broad daylight.

I think they figured they had to take a chance and remind the old wind bag that it’s fixed. Jeb will run but he won’t win.

America’s downward slide began with her husband, and continued accelerating with his successors.

We don’t he spawn of a New England Liberal, trying to masquerade as Texans, monopolizing the White House.

I really dislike the Bushes intensely and the matriarch above them all.

The fix is in. Jeb Bush will be our next president in a dramatic squeaker over Hillary. Because Conservatives despise her so much, they will relent and support Jeb.

This is exactly what TPTB want and we will play right into their political charade.

Jeb will pronounce the US economy and currency DOA and lead us into a global currency, just what his daddy, brother and Nazi-loving grand-daddy always wanted.

And yet I wonder, what does she have to say about Sarah this time around?

How sad it was for me when her mask fell and I saw the sheer evil of this lying woman.

And not just no, but HE DOUBLE L NO to Jeb. Jeez, I can’t wait for this episode of Twilight Zone to end!!

Sarge, I was with you, brother, until you said “No more Pauls.” How the hell can you call them a dynasty? One very Constitutional (out of 435) congressman from Texas, and his one Constitutional son who is in his first term as a senator?

I’ve been p.o.’d at Babs ever since she made that stupid comment about Sarah Palin, “I hear Sarah Palin likes Alaska and I hope she stays there.”

And I’m hacked off at her hubby George H. for running on the Reagan record in 1988, the last year a republican carried California, and then throwing all the Reagan people under the bus once he, George H., was elected. No wonder George H. had a failed presidency.

Then there’s George H.’s and Barbara’s comments about how they consider Bill Clinton to be a son. They have got to be kidding me!

Well, I hope Jebbie stays in Florida.

Barbara was right the first time. The presidency is not a family business. Jeb should stay home, where he works to flood our border with illegal hordes. We are all better off with him in private life, where he belongs.
