The Colorado GOP is not happy with the way (Democrats have misused statistics) to try to keep their draconian gun laws on the books. Recently the Colorado Republicans tried to repeal some of the gun laws that the Democratic legislature had passed over the last couple of years. In their efforts to keep the GOP from succeeding, Democrat lawmakers said some things that Republicans took exception to.
During debate on the repeal attempt, CBI Director Ron Sloan said 6,200 checks were done on private transfers that were covered under HB1229.
guncontrolliarDemocrats sized on that figure in rejecting the repeal attempt, saying it showed that the law was working. Republicans, however, said the number was misleading.
According to CBI data released late Friday, 2,361 of the 6,199 private background checks done in the first six months of the law going into effect were conducted at gun shows. Background checks at gun shows have long been required under state law.
Republican Senate Leader Bill Cadman said Monday that he was extremely concerned that such misleading information would be provided as factually based testimony by the senior law enforcement professional in Colorado.
Its alarming that these were presented in such a way to a committee to substantiate the Democrats desire to kill this bill, he said.
Its the same tactics the Democrats have been using for years obfuscate, misdirect and outright lie to get your way.

I think that hitler quote is actually bogus.
Yep, that is a made up quote.
But the FR cop suckers will insist that "the police are on our side" whatever that means. The police are the enforcement arm of the government; they do not enforce personal freedom, but government laws no mater how unconstitutional.
What Hitler probably said is “I had a dream. I had a dream where I was the first black president of the United states, and was able to transfor it so it was just like our Germany.” While we’re making up quotes.
“You should not believe all the quotes of famous people you read on the internet.” Abraham Lincoln
I thought that was a Ben Franklin quote. Everything else seems to be.
