Yet folks will simply not pay the fines.

There you have it.

Yes, so they can import more foreign ME male doctors....had the UNFORTUNATE experience of getting on in the ER in Oct last year. Bad English, little understanding of English. Let his religion get in the way of treating a female.

I spent 3 days in the hospital for a colon infection, the drug Zoysin was prescribed IV piggy backed. Some of the few words he spoke to me you ever had Zoysin before, I said NO, asked what the side effects were, mild nausea/diarrhea. I’m in to much pain to look it up, tons of side effects. They blew 3 well hydrated veins in the ER, so the only place left was where the elbow bends they use for regular blood test to do the IV. Put a splint on it. WELL as the saying goes the rest of the story, light sensitivity, progressed into blurred vision, into loss of eye sight in Right eye, took 2 weeks for vision to return to my norm. And the PH balance in the bladder flipped to acidic. He would only talk to my husband, so the idiot can’t understand enough English to know the difference in the need for a bladder drug and a vaginal one. That vein blew the next day. They called in the ultra sound guy, he found a vein by feel, but it rolled, so he kept digging until he could seat the Catheter that was 4 times the size of my veins. Which is why they blew all the veins in the first place. I am not a hard stick unless you use the WRONG size Catheters. To top it off you are now going to get MOOCHES food plan for kids while in the hospital.

1 size catheters does not fit all veins.

Excellent! That action, if successful, would be enormously popular, and kill the worst aspect of the ACA.

Now, we just need to convince the Dem Senators in red and purple states that the only way to save their political careers is to pass it in the Senate. Of course, Reid won't allow it to come to a vote, but it will if enough Dems see it as their only route to salvation in November.

Hope not. I heard that the Obamacare system is due to collapse totally after the bastard leaves office.

But he has done his dirty work. He helped screw up the economy, undermine the Constitution and wreck our foreign policy so no one anywhere has any respect for us.

Not bad for only eight years of work - undoing 200 plus years of western progress here.

The Do Nothing RINO Wing of the Republican Party is just following the orders that their leader, Soetoro-Obama, gave to Boehner last week at the White House.

I called my representative (Gingrey, GA - 11) 4 months ago requesting this action: Obviously, I “could” take credit for the law, but that would “probably” be a bit of an exaggeration.

But, heck, I will anyway. 8<)

Then again, this particular little district (under different umbers at different times) elected MacDonald (killed in the Korean air line shoot down by Russia), Gingrich, Barr, and Gingrey, so obviously, we are a bunch of left wing liberals.

By setting the fine at zero, they are implicitly acknowledging that there is nothing wrong with the very act of imposing the fine.

Agreed. This opens the door even just the slightest bit to allow a future Congress to change that number to any number they wish.

It's sort of like the income tax. Initially it was only supposed to affect the highest earners and was just the smallest percentage of a person's income. We all know how that's gone over the decades.

I am concerned, why do think Obama will leave office? He has no plans for that. the hogs at the trough do not leave while there is anything still left behind.

I guess it is something, but what about us that want and need health insurance for our families? We are still stuck with huge premiums, deductibles, etc.

And I can see the rates going even higher, “due to the unforseen low enrollments, compounded by the $0 fine amount, your rates will increase”.

Health insurance as an industry is really not very old. Prior to the 1950s, health insurance, as traditionally understood, was only offered for people who were in high-risk lines of work or as an optional insurance if, for instance, there was a family history of some disease, etc.

Health insurance today is assumed to be a requirement just to walk into a hospital or a doctor’s office, and that’s just not true. The idea of health insurance as a NEED akin to NEEDING to eat or NEEDING to have shelter is ridiculous.

I’m not downplaying your needs or your family situation. I’m saying that the insurance industry in general has become a leviathan that most people believe is a requirement in life, and that’s just not true.

$20,000 a year is TEN TIMES what I pay for my health insurance through my employer. That’s just unfathomable to me.

If everyone who files Federal Taxes for calendar year 2014, merely checks the box indicating they have health insurance...

Then they have you for perjury

I pay about $13,000 in premiums now for my family of five. It gives you an idea of what your employer is chipping in for your health plan. Which brings up another aspect of the plan, which IMHO is designed to be oppressive on business.

Four years ago my “catastrophic” plan was about $4,000 a year, and I was glad to pay more for the day-to-day health care stuff; but had piece of mind for the big stuff. The $13,000 plan today covers me less than my old plan.

Although I guess we are covered for birth-control and abortions so I hear, so that’s something. I haven’t looked into sex changes.

I would personally not have health insurance unless it was offered at a discount. I was unemployed for over 6 months back in 2011, and I still went to my doctor appointments and still got my prescription medications. The doctor’s office gladly accepted cash and gave me a steep discount for services, and they were all too willing to give me sample medication when I had to pinch pennies otherwise.

Generic Rx from WalMart got me through those 6 months until I was making a bit more to afford the name-brand stuff.
