Obama Gives Health Plans Added Two-Year Reprieve Plans That Don't Meet ACA Rules Could Stay in Place Through 2016 By Louise Radnofsky March 5, 2014 4:15 p.m. ET
The Obama administration announced Wednesday that consumers can keep insurance plans that don't comply with the federal health law for another two years, pushing a potential firestorm over cancellations until after midterm elections.
Previously, some consumers could keep insurance plans that didn't comply with the Affordable Care Act until roughly the end of this year, as long as their state regulators and insurance company allowed it.

So he told them "If you like your money you can keep your money". You'd think those insurance companies would distrust that whole "We rip off the other guy and pass the savings on to you".
I actually saw that on a T shirt once.
Give the whole thing a two century reprieve.
2016 slogan. If you want to keep your health insurance you had better vote against Hillary.
“So, the only reasonable conclusion is those at the top of the health insurance industry feel theyll be enriched enough that when the health insurance industry is terminated, theyll be ok.”
As we learned from the ill-fated sale of Chrysler to Mercedes the top officer will destroy the company to take home their bonus. The CEO of Chrysler, without whom the sale could not have taken place, made $27,000,000. Who cares about the employees or shareholders?
OH THANK YOU OH GREAT AND BENEVOLENT DICTATOR!

That word Act is important. That word means an Act of Congress. The power to legislate or change legislation resides with Congress not the president or judges.
Congress should be jealously guarding their constitutionally derived powers but they dont. They are perfectly happy these days letting the president bulldoze his way through whatever lawfully passed restriction or requirements Congress has enacted.
Sorry folks but we are now in the POST Constitutional America.

As a fan of capitalism, I recognize this as a flaw in the system. I was here for the “free traitor wars”. I was called any number of names as “conservatives” cheered offshoring to China.
I would bet against you on that.
Sure we may win the Senate in 2014 but Obama will be in office until the end of 2016.
Even if we hold the House and the Senate the majority of those office holders are spineless wimps when it comes to the first Black president. They start to waffle and cower as soon as some one mentions the word RACIST.
The Republicans will probably win the presidential election in 2016 simply because Obama will have totally wrecked the economy by then and the people will be thoroughly tired of Democrats.
So with all Congress and the Presidency in Republican hands it is likely that the Republicans will perfectly happy to let the new president have all of the perks that Obama had but this being a Republican president the press will not ignore these abuses as they did with Obama and so the new president will be somewhat more judicious and less blatant in the exercise of these extra-constitutional powers.
The next President is going to have EXPLODING PILE OF CRAP to deal with....almost makes me want Hillary!! to face the music.
But this is tax law, he is changing TAX LAW!! Could the next President just eliminate the death tax? the capital gains tax? change the rates? The date that we have to file, say change it to June 1st?
Don’t worry, Boehner & crew won’t stand for this!
**crickets**
Agreed.
That is why Trey Gowdy needs to replace Boehner as Speaker of the House right after the April 15, 2014 Resignation as Speaker by “Benghazi Cover Up” Boehner.
“Ill fated sale of Chrysler to Mercedes...” I think you meant to Fiat. Daimler Benz played by the rules and lost their butt when they owned Chrysler, essentially pulling out before 2008.
Personally, I would like to see Louie Gohmert become House Speaker.
I like Trey Gowdy, too.
Then again, Howdy Doody would be a vast improvement over Boehner.
Shoot...just ask Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy or Paul Ryan.
They are his groomsmen after all.
Louis would be great, being from TEXASA and all, but Trey is always steamed about something, and thus truly matches our attitude here in Flyover Country.
You see....not only is Louie Gohmert a TEXAN but he is also a Vet (Captain, US ARMY). I give extra points for being a Vet.
Yup.
Thanks for that factoid!
Soetoro-Obama has conclusively proven that anyone running for POTUS in the future MUST have an Honorable Military experience in one or more branches of the US Military.
I am convinced that the huge number of Non-Vets in the Congressional “Leadership” is a real liability. These people have NO ideal what the troops in the field have to deal with.
Don’t get me wrong, I do not believe that being a Vet is mandatory, it just helps in my opinion.
Now for our next POTUS, I would really LOVE to see retired Marine General JAMES MATTIS consider running for POTUS.
I think that current events are a sign that our next C-I-C be prepared to face a very hostile and dangerous world. Someone that will be able to restore our Allies ability to TRUST the USA and at the same time make our Enemies re-establish a very healthy FEAR of the USA.
That means NO BUSH, NO ROMNEY and no more g-damned “community organizers” or “Her Thighness”.
When obama gives us at least a permanent reprieve from himself and his minions.
I would love to wake up to find that Obama is praying and begging for US to give him a reprieve..........or at least three steps toward the door.
